Probably not for one thing it is not moneysaving to use something disposable, nor any good for the environment. Unless you can get biodegradable ones?? Interesting thought though.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I now have 2 aprons, and very useful they are.
I'm converted. :jAiming to be Debt free by October 20130 -
I have just fixed mine as the tie fell off. So after months of "I'll get round to it" I now have. Shame it took me flinging fat all over one of my new tops to motivate me!0

Indeed. My friend has now decided that I look like I fell out of Stepford. :rotfl:Aiming to be Debt free by October 20130 -

interesting indeed. the company i work for has a division somewhere that makes biodegradable plastics out ot maize husks. i should mention this to them - maybe they would come out too expensive for the likes of us, but i could imagine it to be useful for the catering industry, who probably spend a fortune laundering (and pollute that way too). thanks for the tip!"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
Ah, my favourite thread is back
I was sent an ebay link some weeks ago & I saved the pics. Yellow is not my colour but I thought this apron was gorgeous. Pure 40s glam.
I could almost wear that for a night out! ..... Note:- almost0 -
Hi! It's me, PrettySusannah!
I know some of you may be wondering why I wear boots for so many jobs. Well, as I told SarahSaver, I worked as a college dishwasher, and I had to wear boots at work. That's why I still wear boots if doing housework with water.
I really started wearing boots when working with water when I was about 15 years old. We had a dog, and every second week mum and I used to take it to a self service dog wash. When we were going there mum and I wore aprons (provided), dishwashing gloves, rubber boots and baseball caps (and our hair in ponytails). It has become a routine for me: When I put on an apron, I also put my hair in a ponytail and put on a baseball cap. I feel more professional then.
I wrote that when I am cutting my younger sister's hair, we wear aprons. You see, I went to cosmetology school earlier. I put on my stylist apron, and then take out another stylist apron that I have which my sister wear. It is matching to mine.
I know, some people believe that I have a fetish for aprons, but I have not, I just like wearing them!0 -
Oh dear. Mods, is it possible to do something about posts from 'inbetweenies'?
I find them objectionable, but maybe that is just my generation?
