So your hubby is into nylon then Andrea?
Nylon? with buttons? No no, the coming UK fashion is the 'Mrs. Overall' wraparound. It's the classic pinny. My man says so....in some moods

Here is the pattern that may solve all belfastgirls apron fit probs.
It's the simple back strap idea I was thinking of, to get all the excess of her massive apron into some order!
.................................................................
& if anyones bib apron is too small then a 2-3" strip could be added to the sides & taken all the way over?............Just a thought .....A few mins with a sewing machine...... more or less.........usually more.......& more..........now where did the day go?0 -

Planning on making just a simple apron tomorrow, haven't got a pattern so I'm looking for someone to help!
Can anyone measure a standard apron for me? Across the top, the bits that go sort of diagonally and how far down from the top they stop, and the length of the sides down to the bottom. If that makes sense...
Thanks in advance!:oSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I light of new members posting in this thread, I'm gonna ask the question again in case anyone can help, also because I've still had no luck.Does anyone know of somewhere a chap can buy a PVC apron? Ideally chap-sized and definately non-feminine.Thanks, and hoping for positive response.0

There are glittery aprons in poundland! With matching teatowels and oven gloves. They are just cotton not pvc ones. I suppose if you need to 'supersize' your apron you could sew 2 together
PVC ones? Hmmm... have you tried Lakeland, Debenhams, John Lewis, Cath Kidston (the latter will be girly though)
Or why not wear chef's whites they are particularly blokey;)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
