I used to have a green-and-white striped PVC apron, but it wore out (does anyone else find that they wear at the waist?). I've been unable to find similar. Any ideas? eBay hasn't been particularly useful.
So, any ideas. Going back to my previous post and the reply, can anyone suggest anywhere (evidently not eBay) that a chap could buy a decent PVC apron; non-feminine, ideally fairly large.Thanks.0 -

I think bib aprons without a harness are bad for posture as they always pull the neck, & never fit right anyway.....+ I fall out of them as they twist around! - maybe that's just me?:D”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

I have a pinny that I made at secondary school (2nd year) in the needlework class that we had to use for cookery in years 3/4/5. It was all hand sewn and I still use if for cooking although one of the ties is currently held on with a safety pin.
OMG I just worked out its 30 years old - eeekMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
So, any ideas? Any help? Anything at all?
Have you tried catering suppliers websites? We used to get loads of catalogues for them at my old work and they always had aprons in.I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -

You wondered why I wear rubber boots when washing the dishes or doing other housework with water.
I can tell you. When I was about 18, I worked as a college dishwasher. At work, I had to wear an apron, rubber gloves (up to my elbows), rubber boots and a baseball cap. I do not work at that college anymore, but I still wear boots and baseball cap when washing the dishes.
Out of interest, do you wear proper 'food trade' rubber boots (usually white, the same type that you often see fishmongers wearing) or just ordinary wellies?0
