I think its worth bearing in mind that even though there are only a few bad reviews, many many people do not bother, or do not know how to review a restaurant. Im pretty sure my nan wouldnt.. therefore to say there are only a couple of bad review out of 100's is a bit short sighted?
Likewise there will be even more happy people who do not know how to post reviews, and alot more who don't because people rarely post positive things.
I think it is very short sighted for people to quote that because there are several bad reviews, this place must be terrible and we should start a campaign to make people realise it.
I think that people who have had a bad experience are well within their rights to complain, but people who haven't even heard of it, should steer clear of degrading the company.0 -
Ollies dad, I totally agree that just because of a few bad views doesnt mean its right to start a vendetta..
However, people were more than happy to do this when a complaint was made about that Divaz company were they not? christ was that girl ousted as the devil or what?
Were all adults that can form their own opinions from the information available to us.. I just hope that the OP makes the effort to complain to the restaurant and post the outcome
I agree that it is not right for people to degrade the co.. but to degrade the situation seems reasonable0 -
I have been in other franchises and ordered 2 for 1 meals one of which was for my eldest boy. Not all kids like the meals offered on kids meals.
Who would really want vouchers for the same place you are complaining about?0 -

So because your nan wouldn't complain then the particular restaurant must be rubbish? Come on, look how daft that sounds.:rotfl:
It is a fact that more people are likely to post a review about a bad experience than good. Same as more people write in to complain about things than say that they had a good experience.0 -

I beg to differ... I think you would command far better conversation with people if you didnt belittle and put people down ie to refer to my comment as daft??
Perhaps you have not heard of TopTable.. OpenTable etc where there are thousand upon thoussands of positive reviews about restaurants.
When i daftly referred to my nan, what i was actually saying was; if she experienced an upleasent meal in a restaurant she would not know to come on MSE to moan about it. in fact off the top my head I can think of various amily members that wouldnt or couldnt.. therefore if someone can they should be entitled to!
The Op has come on here to ask advice re there consumer rights in complaining and you have wrongly told them that this is not thr right place???
So pray tell me what the consumer rights section is for???
:cool:0 -
I think the response to the complaint letter might be interesting.
I have to say that given everything that has been described I personally would have left when the orders came out wrongIf you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
All the 2 for 1 places I have been to have all been part of the same chain which is Spirit Group. Wonder if this one is too?Everyone I know wants to be a millionaire.
Not me, I want to be a billionaire.0 -
I really can't understand why on earth anyone would think a child shouldn't be allowed to eat a meal from the 2 for 1 section of the adult menu
Since when has an adult been a child?0 -
Well I guess the difference in an adult/child meal is size.. and the fact that many childrens meals are sausage chips and beans, burger chips and beans, chicken nuggets chips and beans and the occassional spag bowl lol..
We have eaten at our local 2 4 1 a few times and my children have always shared an adults meal between them, we have never experienced any problems0
