The place probably gets about 100 customers a day at least, which is 36500 a year. Over the timescal of those complaints that is over 100,000 customers. Only 6 complaints from 100,000 customers is pretty good (i note that several of the 6 complaints are duplicated too!)
But if 6 out of 10 reviewers were unsatisfied that means 60,000 unsatisfied customers by your calculations, or 60 per day. That's not great.

Might have been worse if they asked if it was curly
Waiter, there's as curly hair in my food. I certainly hope that the chef is Italian.

Yes. And bizarrely didn't get up and walk out.

You have mentioned this a couple of times now - did you not read the part where the OP said that they paid for the meal in advance?

The Manchester Evening News may not be interested in the story but it sounds like the kind of story This Is Kent may be interested in...

Don't the people who go to the newspapers for this sort of thing realise how pathetic they make themselves look, I mean, this is stupid!

"But she was left with a sour taste in her mouth after getting no joy in either Co-ops at Oxford Street and Canterbury Road, and in Somerfield, in the High Street. Even a trek to Tankerton's Tesco Express - a corner shop version of its superstores - was wasted."

"I try to support my local businesses"

    Those are huge chains!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What a stupid woman!!!!!

People are vocal about poor service and don't bother saying anything (ie reviews/vent boards) when things have gone fine.

That 6 out of 10 isn't the actual percentage of people who've been and complanied, it's the percentage of people who reviewed (people will far morely review bad service than good)....completely different.

That's my point. It's all we have to go on as far as what proportion of people thought the service was good or bad. People aren't abliged to fill in a review when they've been there so it can be never known what the true figure is. But to pretend that these 6 bad reviews were the only disatisfied people out of every customer, and that every one else was satisfied, is far from an accurate assumption.

The post i made which you quoted was meant to be tongue in cheek.

It was aimed at people claiming that the place must be terrible as there are 6 bad reviews.

I would have. Then claimed the money back. Easy.

this thread seems to be going round in circles :rotfl:

    but just for the record,

4 different people (including the OP) have posted to this thread saying they've eaten there, it's not just the OP:

I have been there too, on a visit to family who live reasonably close, and we had a similar, if not quite as bad, experience. Poor attitude and mediocre food sums it up really.

Is it easy??? what if you only had that amount of money? do you just go home hungry??

What is the point of sayinjg what they should have done?? they didnt. You might as well give them the advice of 'they should have eaten somewhere else'

    To me, yes, very easy.

Yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing. if there are so many bad reviews out there, why didn't the OP actually read them?
