    To me, yes, very easy.

Yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing. if there are so many bad reviews out there, why didn't the OP actually read them?

I expect the OP is really grateful of your help.:)

I would say why don't you try it yourself? People seem to be trying to bump this in Googles rankings with no actual knowledge of the place themselves. Bit childish really!

Also you think you know what you're doing but you don't. You might want to read about keyword spamming and it's negative effects on SEO!

Thanks for the SEO lesson, up to position 1 now http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=waggon+and+horses+westhoughton&meta=&aq=0&aqi=g1&aql=&oq=waggon+and+horses+wes&gs_rfai=

Best leave the SEO lesson to us who know!

I even wrote it might get higher for a while, your smugness obviously overwhelmed you so you didn't even notice that!

    No you don't!

I think you'll find you have Google set so it displays the pages you visit most at the higher positions! http://searchengineland.com/google-now-personalizes-everyones-search-results-31195

This is the actual shot of Google.co.uk for that term! (even with pages from the UK pressed)

If you actually leave it alone and tell people not to Google the place and click the MSE link (that looks like blatant SEO spam) it might just vaguely climb higher! But as Equaliser says, why you'd want to do that to a place you've never been from the word of someone you've never met so have no knowledge of whether their description of events is true/fair I really don't know? Just seems like childish spitefulness to me.

Suprised how many comments this post had had lol - well i have managed to complete my letter of complaint and i have also found out that it is one of the Marsdens pub company pubs and they have a Development officier allocated to that pub/restaurant. I rung them today and were very nice, i have sent them a copy of my complaint just for thre attention.

I have put about the Goods and Services Act 1982 - which states i should expect a polite and courtious service from staff so it seems i have some consumer rights under this..... i wonder if i will get a response hmmm..... will keep you updated :)

I feel better now a copy can go to a 'higher authority' than just the management of this pub, maybe they could do some retraining of staff including the manager! i wouldnt want anyone to experience what we did :(

    :(

No it doesn't! It states that you are entitled to reasonable skill and care when purchasing a service.
