Now I'm confused... Yesterday I rang up to have my £5 credit issued, as it hadn't been taken off the invoice. I was then told that I'd have to pay the whole amount outstanding and get the credit off next months invoice, unless I'd cancel my direct debit and set up a new payment method. In which case I'd be charged the small amount outstanding next month instead. As I had set up a credit card authority there was no way I could cancel it, so I was advised to ring up again today, when their accounts department was open and ask them to cancel the credit card authority. When I rang up today however, I was assured that any credit notes issued by the end of today, would come off the amount taken off my card THIS month, and I wouldn't have to wait until next month for the credit to be applied... This doesn't seem to be what others have been told, according to what I've read on here - has anyone else been given the same info at all..?I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0

Well! They say there is no such thing as a free lunch....
My experience was that I initially sent off for the Daily Mail Free breakfast offer. The Milkman couldn't find our house and left a message with no telephone number. Anyway after I tracked the local office down the goods were duly delivered a few days later.
Not being able to get too much of a good thing I applied for the MSE offer and the free pint of 1% milk which was on offer on the Milk&More website.
I was shocked on Sunday to recieve notification of a bill for £10.18. After calling the helpline, there is an alternative number on the say no to 0870 website, and being on hold for most of 16 minutes I have obtained a £5 reduction to my bill. Apparently only one offer within a billing period is acceptable and they apologised for not making this clear.
The service has potential in terms of convenience, but their products are pricey and the website can be unreliable. I may chance my luck again next week!0 -
I ordered using the Daily Mail promo code and delivery was was fine but then had an email saying my invoice is ready and guess what it says £4.95 to pay. When I rang them up they said it was a computer error and that the amount will be taken off next months order. Not sure if I will get it refunded as I don't intend to place anymore orders.Everything seems to be be double supermarket prices but I guess thats how they make it a viable business.0

I had the same situation as everybody here. I have just finished talking to one of their customer service and I was told that they will credit £5 back- if it doesn't happen tomorrow (as they have hundreds of unhappy customers), then it will be on the 20th of April.I love this forum and thank everybody who contributes to it!0

Hmmm, what can I say that hasn't already been said.
Placed an order, all items received as expected. Logged into my account today only to find an invoice for the full amount, so I guess im in the same boat as most other people here.
Hey ho, you live and learn0 -
what a waste of time... there site does not accept the codes or they just dont apply them! try phoning them and guess what your put on hold for up to 20 minutes! my £5 I was told that it would be given against the next invoice or if I closed the account! as I was about to place another order this did not fill me with confidence, so I did as the lady said and closed the account!...Milk & More if you want new business get your act together and get things sorted out! 2 friends that were going to give you a try are not now so thats 3 customers lost just on this one account! Having placed an initial order for £10 and about to place another order for the same items, I wasnt just using the £5 and no mosre! ah well you live and learn as they say...!!0

Dear Milk & More/Diary Crest
I am writing to complain about the promotional offer featured on MoneySavingExpert.com, the terms and conditions which are published at http://www.milkandmore.co.uk/landing/money_saving_expert.htm
The basis upon which I entered the contract with you was that you would credit £5.00 against my first order provided that I entered the MSE promotion code before confirming my order and that I setup a regular payment method.
I have complied with all the terms and conditions stipulated, yet despite doing so I have found that my first invoice includes no credit for £5.00. I have raised this matter with your Customer Services Dept, and have been told that due to a computer error, I will not receive the credit off my first invoice. This is in clear breach of the terms upon which you made your offer to me.
I am also confirming that I reject your offer of a £5.00 credit in April, as this would mean that I would have to spend a further £5.00 or more with you in order to claim the credit. Therefore, would you please arrange to credit my payment card/bank account with the sum of £5.00 within the next 10 working days.
Yours sincerely
<Your Name Here>
After speaking with a Manager @ Dairy Crest today, I have been told that they will agree to refund the £5.00 to my account. I will update if this happens. If they do not, then I will follow up with a Small Claims Court Summons.0 -
I too did not receive two of the things I ordered and was told on the site & via an email that my code had been successfully applied.
However I too got an invoice for the full amount and upon phoning (and being on the phone for over 10 minutes) was told that they would take the money tomorrow and give a £5 credit to my account sometime in the next couple of weeks. I told them this was not acceptable and I was then told that the credit would be applied in about a week and they would then phone me for my bank details so that they money could be credited. At this point I told her she was in breach of contract and that it amounted to fraud (and that trading standards and the police would be very interested - being a solicitor in my pre-mummy life comes in handy sometimes!) and after speaking to her manager managed to apply a crediot to my account within a few minutes of putting the phone down - strange that! If this voucher was a plan to try and get more customers then I think their service has let them down and nobody with my experience will use them again! Be forceful and you will not have to pay anything.Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
delivery ok on time, however recieved invoiced for payment before credit appiled . tried to contact customer services on two occasions , frist occasion 20 mins on hold then told to ring back next day , then again 20 mins on hold , told credit would be appiled one month after invoice . asked and tried to explain that it would be that i would be paying for the items as had been billed via direct debit , they said they could only credit the following month so in theroy paying for the free breakfast - is it free ???. both conversations with customer services seemed as if they knew they had a problem , but not bothered to help and reslove , however i wonder if they had if i had placed another order. kept saying will pass it on the line leader.
wont be using them again - we will stick with the supermarket milkman - our own size 8 fetching it0 -
Was pleased to see they got the invoice right, eventually. I think its been more of a sucess than they anticipated and they just haven't been able to cope. To be fair the girls on customer service have always been very pleasant and apologetic, but I will also be sticking to the supermarket0
