To the people saying the customers who are having problems have done things wrong I disagree...

I ordered £10.51 worth of items, I set up a regular payment and entered the code, The milkman then delivered the items minutes before midday not at the place id asked although I did get all me items unlike others. I received my invoice via email and it is showing the full amount without any discount, I am now going to have to call them up and get a refund.

And for peoples information I intended on using this service frequently as i suffer with an illness which means some days I can't go out so this was an ideal oppourtunity to try out the service. Unfortunately I haven't liked what ive tried.

I don't understand why a company with this bad organisation and customer service skills would want to put this offer out there, its just made a lot of people aware of the bad service.

And where or where has the milk and more spokes person on here disappeared to?

I agree the information given re: the discount leaves alot to be desired. However, if they apply my discount i will deffo use them again for the times i cant make it to the shops on a saturday. Yes its a bit pricier but i like the convenience of not having to go to th elocal shops, which are just as pricey round here.

Come on mik and more, sort out your service or more will cancel.

Well I ordered first with the DM code for Fri 19th- totalled £4.75 set up direct debit, order did not turn up, status was pending until this morn and it now says it was delivered. I was in all day and the milkman didn't even come down my street! The order showed on my invoice on Saturday 20th, then disappeared Sat eve but is now back again *scratches head*

Made the same order for today, it turned up at 7:20, *thumbs up, perfect timing* one item was missing and nothing was in a bag-left on my doorstep so delivery instructions were ignored, there's loads of cats round here so good job I was watching out the window. This order is also showing on my invoice. I followed the instructions given by the Milk and More representative on here and the site said my code had been applied so I shouldn't be charged.

I won't be calling them as I don't have a landline but I've written to them-will post this afternoon... basically saying the service was poor, considering they are dealing with peoples FOOD-these could be vulnerable people that totally rely on their service. It's not on. I informed them I'll be cancelling my direct debit as the links I followed to get the offer stated that the DD could be cancelled at any point and seeing as my order was under a fiver and my free £5 code had "been applied" I don't owe them a penny :) It's a real shame as I found this offer searching for a milkman so I could get regular deliveries of bread, milk and juice...there is no way I'll do this now :(

I too followed the instructions as advertised, waited patiently and now surprise surprise my discount has not been applied.

I was really hoping it had worked as the delivery itself was great and my dad and grandad don't drive and I had hoped to set up a regular one for them but would be worried now that there was going to be problems with the invoicing side all the way through for them.

Very annoyed I am going to have to hang around waiting on the phone now, I don't understand how a simple £5 discount cannot be applied by a company who set it up.

FEELING MISLEAD. Nowhere on the MSE website (and I don't think on the M&M website) did it say that I would be BILLED IN FULL then have to wait for them to refund me at a later date (if that happens). NOT HAPPY.

I agree with cwms - this is like a pay for it and get your money back deal!

I just tried calling and after 7 minutes of being on hold gave up.

I wonder if when the supposed credit is applied to the invoice (if it ever is to be applied, can't see why it couldn't be done on this month's as per THEIR terms and conditions...) will it be refunded to our card????? or will we have to spend it????

I hope the representative comes back to answer this.
  • Purchased my goods to the value of £5.81 last Wednesday. The goods arrived on Friday without problem. After reading through the forums I was not overly concerned about the £5.18 showing on my invoice as I was led to believe that the £5.00 would be deducted on the 20th as part of the billing cycle.

I have logged on today to find that my invoice is still showing £5.81. Having called Milk & More, I am told that I will be given a £5.00 credit on my next invoice and can only get the £5.00 credit by spending a further £5.00 plus. This is NOT how the offer was sold. To be told by the operator that it is down to a computer problem is not credible.

I then asked if I closed down my account would they apply the credit on my account to my card and they said that they wouldn't. I have been told that a manager would call be back today as he might be able to do something and will update if this happens.

I feel Diary crest have really misjudged this, as the operator kept saying that the £5.00 off was to encourage new regular customers, but this is not what the T&C's implied. I think that they have got their fingers burnt and are now trying to back peddle out of the promotion.

Would be interested to hear Martin's response as it was this website that promoted the offer and encouraged me to sign up for it.

I agree that they're trying to back pedal out of the promotion- which is why they're saying the £5 will come off the second order. It's very underhand, as this isn't how the offer was sold.

However I don't think it's Martin's or this website's fault- as he was reporting the offer in good faith. It's Dairy Crest who are at fault. I would also like to hear a comment from their reperesentative.

Ah so that answers my question then - I feared it would be spend an additional £5. Disappointing as it's not really a free breakfast as advertised!

I would be worried I wouldn't get it the second time either!

I feel a bit sorry for whoever implemented this as instead of just sticking to the terms as agreed and losing £5 for every first customer, but gaining regular orders from thousands of people, they instead are losing out on potentially thousands of proper orders. I was so keen on doing this for my dad and grandad but too nervous in case the invoices are always mucked up and it takes me a lengthy phone call to try to sort it. Maybe there are independed milkmen around though still X
  • Hmm.. So that was interesting.

Got my order today, everything ok except I ordered a childrens carton of milk (third of a pint, in a tetrapak) and found a full pint of milk in the normal glass bottle on my doorstep instead. I'll probably be 'charged' for it but if I got the £5 off my order as originally promised I don't think I would mind paying the extra 50p or so, milk is milk (kids drink was semi skimmed, so's the pint so I'll use it) but if I don't get my money off I won't be using it again. I really hope everything goes ok with my order and I can then have the confidence to use this service again.
