I was with euro1net when they went under and got my money back from Morgan stanley for the 2 year contract. I arranged the move to Talk talk and was given a connection dte of 10 October - all credit to them it went live on 26th September.

However be aware that if you don't take the talktalk modem (I already had one from euro1net) setting up is no fun. Just taken me three hours of banging head against wall & I thought I was reasonably capable. On the good side however euro1net could only give me 1/2 meg, talktalk have given me 1.1 mbps and it flies.

Perhaps by tomorrow if the serviced fails i will curse all and sundry but so far am very impressed
  • Talk Talk 2.2Mbps for me - and service no worse than Orange.

Some sites are slow, but others fine, so it must be the sites rather than the service in my experience.

I've so far set up with an ex-wanadoo Speedtouch Modem, and a Buffalo ASDL Modem Router. The setting are no different to the majority of UK Service Providers, and most devices have these setting as standard.

  • Well, it's taken nearly 7 months and a LOT of trouble, but last night I was able to go home and log-on using my Talk Talk credentials, and all is well. :j

Connection was fast (much faster than my previous ISP) and I experienced no drop-off at all - although I was using my own wireless ADSL router (not Talk Talk's own).

Best of all, thanks to all my moaning, I've had my setup fee refunded and a £30 credit applied to my account. Result!

I need to know how to get out off the talk talk contract

I ahve had problems and phoning, emailing and writing have been a waste of time

firstly the adsl is just like dial up, the 1mb connection is far slower than the original v21 adsl i had.
I was promised 2mb min but its never happned
the connection often is there but not working and I have to reset the router several times a days as it does something to stop any web pages being displyed.

I ahve also been charged for calls that were not displayed on the bill but they deny the problem and refuse to discuss it

the modem and filters never arrived

but the most annoying thing is calling them for help, stuck ina BT like queue to be disconnected when i get through to staff

I have to change providers before I stress myself out

    any ideas???
