Great thread molanole, think everyone needs cheering up this week!
My good news is that I received the annual maintenance bill for my flat today (what's great about that? I hear you say) well for the first time ever I actually have the money saved up and don't have to use my overdraft. I have also arranged to pay it monthly from now on so I won't build up any more arrears. In fact I can't wait to send that cheque off!!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
Well Done Molanole - it's always good to read all the DFWs good news stories!
Mine is that my payslip has just appeared and I've received my increment, plus arrears, plus £300 for clerking 4 governors meetings, plus mileage! Quids in this month! Which will more than cover the deposit for our holiday that I need to pay my dad for!
Keep the good news coming everyone so we can all be cheered up!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

Hey everyone,
Thanks Molanole! You are lovely.
My good news is that I contacted a man who publishes a local freesheet paper as he was looking for casual delivery people for a couple of hours every month. He is interested in using me to deliver about 300 this month (£5 per 100, 100 takes about one hour) and possibly more next month!
And i'm babysitting on Saturday night - will be about £20 - Yay!

Ooh good news is just great!
My good news is that I found an unopened coffee maker lurking in the cupboard so I listed on ebay and I've already bids on it. When sold I can put that towards paying some of my overdraft! And I was accepted for a new c/c yesterday with a 12month 0% interest period - yippee! All thanks to MSE of course :-)DFW Nerd no: 149

thanks for starting this Molanole

my good news is that I am going to get some bonus ( paid next month ) hopefully about £700 and I am also getting an insurance payout of £500 - neither of these were expected so I am going to pay a bit off my c/card which is on 0% but I still want to get rid. I am also going on holiday at the weekend for a week in Scotland and a week in the Lake District camping ( of course ) cant wait :j:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
My good news is that I am moving to sunny Blackpool in September to move into my BF's home......I get a cup of tea in bed every day & less bills to pay!

And eldest DS's transfer of course at Uni has been accepted (from Computer Science to Physics & Astronomy -)
And younger DS's gap year placement is nearly upon us so he's off into the big wide world too! :j

My good news is that we finally got the money back that we overpaid on our last mortgage just before we moved. They owed us £668 and our bank account is overdrawn by £602 because of this and I am annoyed that it has taken 3 weeks to get the money back but Im glad the overdraft is going to be paid off because before we moved I made a great effort to pay it off from a £1500 balance to 0, so i hate to see it going up again. i dont feel as if i can pay off any debts while weve got an overdraft. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
