I am now under £14000 debt!
Still a flippin' long way to go but....it's good to break another barrier.
woohoo congratulations! :T0 -
not posted here for a long while.
I just got approved for a new credit card, 12 months 0% Apr with Virgin.
Ok 2% handling fee, but I still make a saving over the year of over £400 - which will just clear £400 off the balance.0 -
Just had to bump this back up again and share my good news with you!
OH won a competition and the prize was a signed Leeds Rhino's rugby league shirt. Didn't really know what to do with it and decided he might enjoy the money more! So onto Ebay it went. It finished this afternoon with a flurry of bidding and ended up at £62!! Woo hoo! It was a first time buyer so we were a bit worried, but she's paid by paypal so the money is there!
Hurray for Ebay!

I have lots of bits that have made me smile lately - joined quidco and if they pay out on everything we should have in the region of £200.
Swapped current account to A&L to get a 0% overdraft and credit card
Shaved over £100 off my monthly outgoings
Have applied for a part time job (hope i get it, it will mean some 'me' time rather than being a mum24/7 and should bring in around £300 a month).
Life for Mrs Mug ain't half bad at the minute. And it is all down to the advice I have received on these boards :T0 -
i am hoping for a bit of goodnew if any of u can help me - many many moons ago when marriage broke down i got myself in a financial pickle - anyway to cut a long story short i ended up having to set up a standing order to intrum justicia - happily paying 15 pounds a month - but they have never sent me a statement of owning or anything like that. I have a sneaky feeling i might have overpaid them so i stopped my standing order - still didnt hear anything from them. Does anyone know how i can go about finding out if i am incredit :rotfl: with them? Will celebrate:beer: if i amolympic challenge starting 7/1/07:j0

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy holiday, we had a really lovely break & kept to our budget too

Had some brilliant news yesterday! HFC contacted us to say that they have spoken with CCCS & are going to rewrite our loan with them at 0% interest & with no PPI & we can make extra payments on it without penalties :j Was really shocked as they have given us the most hassle out of all our creditors but have checked with CCCS & its all above board so its going to knock another £1000 off our debt :j
Has anyone else had any good news this week? :j0 -
Been given a bonus (unused space given at random to staff) carpark space at work for the next two weeks - saves me £8.50 a day!
And a quick shop at Asda with self scanning used up all my money off vouchers (for all kinds of supermarkets) in my purse saving around £13.
So a happy girl today,
LAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
