ok can anyone offer any advise please
ive been pricing up for our may 2007 florida trip
best price ive gotten so far is £2360
thats 2 wks flydrive from manchester from 17th may,2 adults 2 kids,4 dr intermediate car £1910
4 bed house £450 2 weeks
is this a good price? am i likely to get better deal on the fly drive by waiting / looking elsewhere?
but TBH looking for flights alone on various other sites i was shocked at the price !!!!!!!!!

OMG - and you've not booked this house? Is there something wrong with it at that ludicrously cheap price, or is that per week? Even per week that's low for high season. Does it not have a pool or something? I can't see how another villa owner could be covering their costs at that level - I certainly couldn't on mine!
cheers

Hmmmm not so sure about that Col.....
We paid £500 per week for 3 weeks and that covered Easter of this year.... and that was for a 5 bed house and included pool heating!0 -

Not so sure about what? £500 per week is closer to the mark!
I was trying to make a couple of points viz
~ if it's £450 for the fortnight then why isn't it already booked?
~ how can the villa owner be covering costs?
As an owner myself & with many contacts in the same & other resorts I do know the running cost of a new villa with pool.
Suppose this is where I get frustrated with having a foot in both camps - both a provider of a product who has customers continually trying to get the best deal while trying to cover my own costs, and as a consumer trying to get the lowest price but highest quality for my pound.
I just wish everyone would remember that paying lowest price doesn't always result in same quality - hence why I queried if there was something wrong with it!!
So come on Rachie B, have you booked it yet?!
cheers

£450 is cheap, and had this been posted a year or 2 ago I would have questioned the standard of the Villa. However there are a lot of Villa owners really strugling to get bookings this year.
The main reason being that there are a huge amount of Villa owners competing with each other and with rising costs they will almost take anything they can get as long as it covers there outgoings.
The next time any of you visit have a look at the amount of for sale signs.0 -

Not sure about what you said - that even £450 a week is cheap in high season..... Like I said, we paid £500 a week and the villa we had was top quality, in a great location near Champions Gate (about 15 mins from Disney) during the high season of Easter.....
As Bob then said, there's a lot of villa's out there for rent now, and supply is beginning to out do demand, naturally driving prices down.0 -

Aaaahhh!! Still, seems not bad. Unless you want to stay in a villa with private pool on the 27.........
Anyways that price for the flydrive seems fair, in my (vaguely) professional opinion! Are the flights nonstop?
cheers
