Hi. We are going for our second time soon. Anyone have any experience of the dinner shows, i.e. Arabian Knights, Pirates, or the Dolly Parton one? They seem to be priced around £18 adults & £12 for kids, but on one site the Dolly Parton one is £18 for adults & kids go free, which would suit us (4 adults and 4 kids ages 3 to 11). But I noticed that the Arabian and Pirates include free beer, but the Dolly one just has free soft drinks.
Or would it be cheaper paying over there?0 -
Are you buying any other theme park tickets before you go? Just wondering as last year we got pirate tickets for free with the 14 day orlando flex ticket.
If you look back this thread it was one of the companies mentioned on here that we used to buy the tickets.
Can't comment on the show though as we didn't use the tickets as our 4 year old didn't like loud noises. I assumed there would be gun like noises there and he'd have needed to go to the toilet all night to get away from the noise!! So we didn't bother going.0 -
We have bought our park tickets. I did see some sites selling two week combo tickets, which included a dinner show ticket (I think).0

Take a look at the ticket site I recommend here:

I think they are a bit cheaper - these Tickets come from the US but can deliver to the UK if you want.0 -
Hi,
I've been going through this massive topic but struggling to find info on what's the best way to get travel money.
My wife and I are going to Orlando on Thursday and are planning to take about $500 in cash and then about £1800 in our bank accounts to withdraw while there. I'd been advised that this was cheaper and easier than using traveller's cheques.
Has anyone had any problems withdrawing money from a Royal Bank of Scotland current account from abroad or does anyone have any conflicting advice for me?
Thanks in advance,

If you take $500 in cash and are robbed you would have to then claim via your travel insurance. If you take $500 in American Express Travellers cheques (dollar ones of course) and they are lost or stolen you will have them replaced within 24 hours. You can use the travellers cheques anywhere and they are treated as cash so you don't pay an exchange fee.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Reading your post on Amex travellers cheques. I know it sounds silly but do you pay them directly to the shops or do you cash them in first for dollars. I know you said you dont pay exchange fee but do you get charged when you first order them. Thanks. going soon and am wondering what cash etc to take.0 -
You have to get them from your bank or post office over here. Check out their exchange rates. Halifax were best when we were going. The PO however do them while you wait. Halifax next day.
You just hand them in at the till like cash and they are treated as face value. Therefore a $50 travellers cheque is treated as a $50 note.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Thanks for that - hadn't heard of them. The cash was mainly to buy the remaining park tickets we didn't order here and do some shopping on the day we arrive so shouldn't (touch wood) last long enough to get stolen.
Will look into getting some of those Travellers' Cheques today.0 -
I wonder if any Orlando visitors can give me advise, when we have travelled in the past we have always had 4 adults 2 kids so have been okay re kids prices, we are planning to return in 2007 but I need to start saving now but this time it will be 2 adults and 3 kids. Package deals , from what I can see, will charge one of my children at an adult price as only 2 kids can get childrens price. Am looking to fly from Glasgow (preferably) but would go to Manchester. Would it be cheaper to book flight them accom seperately or book a package. Any suggestions re cheap flights would be appreciated. Thanks0
