Marks & Spencer have usually one of the best rates 1.762 at the moment, but I used my Nationwide card all the time last week in Orlando and got 1.82 with no charges made for any of the transactions.

A new airline is (hoping) to start flying from Glasgow to Orlando end of OCT at prices for "members" around £149 +tax EW. This is an ambitious start up ,I wish them success
There is also a blogg of all the problems encountered getting through the red tape.

It would be good news to see some cheap flights from Glasgow, however I will be very surprised if this ever happens.

£15 or £500 per year membership fees??

    Hi MSE's
I have never been to Florida but happen to pick up a good tip from a fellow worker regarding purchasing tickets for various parks. She said that 12 of them went and would go into restaurants who would sell them tickets that were partly used but not expired. She said that it was a very big saving and that the restaurants advertise this on there windows.

    Thought I'd share this.

Should anyone find this to be the case please place a thread to confirm.

Hi Hari thanks for your post but a word of caution. Disney now use finger scan technology to stop the resale of unused days. If you buy second hand tickets that have been issued since the introduction of the the finger scanning you will not be able to use them. The older tickets with unused days will still be ok though. Another word of caution there is no way of telling how many unused days are on tickets. You just have to trust them.

Exactly, and you have little or no comeback from the vendor as what he is doing is illegal and no comeback at all from Disney.
  • Hi,

I'm off to Orlando in September with my wife. We're staying on International Drive but we want to go to CityWalk, PLeasure Island in the evening and both of us would like to drink, therefore not take a car. Does anyone know what it's like getting a taxi back from either of those at night?

    Cheers

    Hi,

Many hotels on International Drive have a free shuttle bus to Disney Parks(Pleasure Island) or Universal Studios (City Walk).
Ask when you get to your hotel (or a hotel close by).
There may be a shuttle both ways, even one way would halve your costs.
