When we visited Florida last year for the first time we just did the parks. We had a 5 day Disney plus 2 water park. We only managed to use 4 Disney days and both waterpark day. The other 1 day is still valid for ever!!! We also bought the 5 park flexi ticket giving us 14 days unlimited access to Universal etc. We used this lots. Universal was so much fun we spent about 4 days there. Seaworld and Busch gardens were lovely and more relaxing days. I couldn't get the oh to allocate me a shopping day so it was just quick stops here and there. Go to the outlet malls to get discounted Disney stuff.

I bought geniune Disney mugs back which cost me just $3 ($10 in parks). I also bought my daughter a lovely Disney coat for about $20

    Hi all

Going to Orlando next month - 6 adults and a child. Would appreciate and help or tips...

Would an 8 seater be able to take 7 suitcases and 7 passengers? or should I hire 2 cars?

Anyone recommend any veggie places to eat?

    Good places to shop?

    Many thanks in advance!

    8 seater £160
    12 seater £235

Get to the BELZ outlet stores at the end of Idrive before it closes down for shopping. From there visit the new super mall just across the road.

    Vegetarian? No idea.

Is Belz closing down? Will the new Mall be a discount one too or not?

    Tanky,

Are you all going to be wanting to travel around together the whole time? I'd go for two cars so if someone wants to leave a theme park early or do their own thing one day.

    See you there!

Airtours are fine, we went with them last Septeber £1200 for 2 adults 1 child staying at Disney Pop Century. Don't take the "free car" though you'd be cheaper booking it separate rather than paying their taxes.

Just my opinion , but because of the bad experience we had when we went to Florida with Airtours , i'd never use them again icon13.gif I know other people who say the same too . I'd much rather go with Virgin.
Been to Florida with Travel City a couple of times and would go with them again
Same old same old since 2008

I have only been on holiday once with Airtours to Ibiza - never again. Useless dirty, scruffy reps, lousy hotel, lousy information. Been with TCD too - they were fine.

  • Hello,

I am going to Florida in July and will be hiring a car. Can anyone tell me if I need a photo driving license or is the old style one OK along with my passport?

    Thanks

    Paul
