Sea World parking tip I just learnt:-

Parking at SeaWorld is about $10 for the day. You can apparently buy weekly tickets for $15 or a forntnightly ticket for SW and Busch for $30. Bit late for me because next year we not having a car!

We are looking to go to Florida next year with a couple of friends and were looking to go next May. I have tried looking at lastminute.com as they were quite cheap based on prices for this year. If I look for next May it comes up saying no availability. Does anyone know of the best place to book flight, car hire and accomodation (preferably villa) for the cheapest price and whether any other time of year is just as good to go as we were previously advised beginning of May was a good time?
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

    Owe Virgin [STRIKE]£5,950.00 [/STRIKE]at 0% til June 2009 £3,427.89. Owe HSBC [STRIKE]£5,460.78 [/STRIKE]2.9% til May 2010 £3,703.07. Owe Post Office £1,676.62 at 0% til September 2010

If you could leave on the 30th April it would cost you £520 each, return inc taxes with BA returning 2 weeks later, if you leave it until the 1st May, next day, it goes up to £671 each, so worth playing with your dates, got these prices from the BA website. So going a day earlier saves you £150 each which will easily cover your car rental costs.

Airline Network used to be really good for car hire but this year THESE were cheaper for me.

There are many villa sites to choose from where you deal direct with the owners but this year I have used BROADWAY TRAVEL, you should be able to get a 3 bedroom villa with pool for £500-£600 for 2 weeks in May.

Not saying these are the best prices but I would say pretty good and will give you a good starting point to compare.

    Agree with pompeyrich.
But virgin and BA have a sale getting on for xmas , and flights should be around £270
I have used US car rental for the last four years until this year when I booked with Travel City and got the car two weeks for the price of one and I must admit very good deal for June.
The Villas I always use Last Mintue villas .com.

    Hi Pompeyrich

Thanks for your reply. How many of you went on your holiday and what size vehicle did you go for?

Just in case anyone is interested, we are going to Florida in October with Virgin and paid £750 each for premium economy seats. Just checked and they have now come down to £600 each, with Economy only £27 cheaper

5 of us, 2 ads + 3 kids, usually go for a "full size" which is plenty big enough, gone for a 4X4/suv this year but only cos it worked out cheaper. The full size took our 5 cases and the buggy plus a couple of carry on type bags, had to put a couple of bags in the car but thats only to and from the Airport.Theres not much between intermediate and full size, price wise, so maybe best to go bigger.

There is a BA sale on now, and a Virgin one but not for May which is a popular month, Whitsun etc. so you will be lucky to get cheap flights then in my opinion
