I take it you mean you have sprayed the samples on the card first?! x
No, I stapled the sample to the card.

When I've given out samples in with brochures, I've printed out bits of card with the name on, and used a sticky pad (you know the foam ones where both sides are sticky) to stick the sample on it, to make it more noticeable.

  • I put samples in my orders last campaign and made little cards up explaining the product, what page it was on in the current brochure and how much the full size product was. I had one customer order the full size product directly because of the sample which I didn't think was too bad. Didn't get around to doing it last time as my son and hubby were both poorly but going to do it again this time as I have loads of samples anyway from achieving my first incentive thingy and my sister had a load from when she did Avon last year.

I've just placed an order with Vistaprint for a free stamp for my order forms, and also ordered some free postcards which I customised to say 'please find your free sample of ______ attached etc etc'. There were some really lovely designs to choose from and you get 100 free! Thought I would use Lozza's idea of attaching the sample to them with a sticky pad! xxxx

I also cut the sticky pads in half lol to make them go further :P

How about getting some little boxes to put the sample into? You could have a box for each foundation shade - perhaps one for light, medium and dark shades, and for lipsticks it could be a box for each range, ultra colour rich etc etc, the lipsticks have the colour written on the bottom, so as long as people know which range it was from then should be ok.

Do any sales leaders on here have reps that order by post? I've drawn up a little guide for postal ordering, as I have a second appointment with a lady tomorrow who is going to be ordering by post, and just wanted to double check I'd got everything right! I've just worked through the instructions on the order forms and made notes - does it sound ok???

On the brown envelope complete the campaign you are ordering from, your mail plan, and your area.
On the front of the order form, complete all required information, including your area and account number. Remember to order brochures for 2 campaigns ahead – the large box at the bottom of the page –and they are ordered in packs of 5, so if you wanted 20 brochures, write 4 in the box. (4 x 5 = 20)
Then write in your orders on the relevant pages, check the quantities on the order forms and write as neatly as you can in the boxes. Do not write French Sevens as the computer cannot scan them, write them as 7. If you have more orders than there is space for, use some of the Current Campaign Continuation Sheets, and again complete all information required at the top of the page.
Remember to order some more order forms, you can get 2 packs for free each campaign. Order some paper bags, medium is usually a good size to start off with.

Most importantly – ensure you post your order in plenty of time for it to be received by AVON by the deadline date. Postal orders need to be sent in at least 2 days before the deadline date, to allow time for them to reach AVON. If there are Bank Holidays then allow extra time.
In your delivery you will receive paper order forms, but the codes for ordering extra is in the Hello Tomorrow Magazine.
If you get stuck with anything – don’t hesitate to contact me, that’s what I’m here for!
    Laura

I've put space at the top of the page for me to write their account number, mail plan and area number on so they have a record to.

Never done a party myself before - but could be a nice idea to make up a little "party bag" with a brochure in, order forms, a few samples and business cards for everyone to take away with them - I know most people will probably order on the night if they want anything, but if they take a brochure away to then might lead to more sales as they might show people who couldn't make it to the party (their mum / sister/ anyone they live with).
