oh this holiday has fallen so awkward I normally work Mon/wed/fri with my Avon and have my routine. Prep somemore for tuesday collect thinking people might not be in at weekend and then dashed off to Son`s coffee event at school and one girl passed me avon book she got off me last night and then lots asking oh can you drop me book off etc,so been out to take books to 5 girls and two who got them yesterday ordered £50+, one of the girls has been using another well known brand and said look at my face its all spotty I so need the avon foundation never had problems with it so she has gone mad and ordered 4.
Been asked about doing SL,but just a little unsure yet,not sure if you need an intial amount of newbies to get started etc,but said I would think it over

I've been using ziplock bags (and just stocked up!) but they work out at 4/6p each and don't last very long - especially when one of my customers insists on piercing them to hang on the hook outside her door rather than putting it on the floor as I ask!!:mad: I've also had customers pull them apart at the base rather than the top ziplock opening and occasionally a bag has split when I've dropped a book into it so pretty sure the money goes on the seal rather than the bag itself.

Interested to know if the new Avon bags are worth buying.

I tried the ziplock also ,but gave up I have a couple of customers whom insist in cellotaping the bags and one I picked up last week well I never thought I would get the book out
So yes I`m interested in seeing this they do what they say ,bigger, stronger etc
I always print a few sheets of and cellotape the following on the front of the bags:

PLEASE DO NOT THROW ME AWAY
BUT PLEASE LEAVE ME ON YOUR DOORSTEP
ON THE COLLECT DAY MARKED ON THE FORM
    THANK YOU SO MUCH

since I started doing this I have harldy lost any books, one of my streets is new and they have terrible time with junk mail and lots admitted oh we have thrown them away, I was so peeved especially since I always but not inside, but they no look,so found this works well, this camp no books down at all and the last camp think I lost one but that was empty house and new road I did

Anyone had trouble with the Antler bag and free travel set from C6 69070 for £22.50, they have sent the free travel set charged £22.50 and said the bag is OOS and not available anymore, when i log into the account the only thing listed for return is the travel bag 51490 at £8.65, the wife rang them and they say they have had a few complaints and they will look into it.

Nooooo! Sorting through my books this morning and found an order form with no name or address! When I was collecting them I had a quick peek at the order form at the top, and if there were no details filled in I put it straight in my bag as I assumed they hadn't ordered. I don't like rifling through the book as soon as I collect it. Have any of you had this before? I was thinking of calling on another customer (an older lady) who might know who the ordder is from. I can read the signature but only have an initial and a surname. If that doesn't work I thought of posting a note through the houses it might be from - I think it was one of the first few as it was one of the last books I took out the bag, which would make it near the house of the customer I was going to ask.

I know just where you're coming from - had 2 this campaign! Fortunately, in both cases, I recognise the writing.

When this has happened in the past I've found that the position in the bag usually gives a clue as to where it's come from so when I deliver the next brochure in that area, I put in a note saying something like 'if you ordered ***** last time, please get in touch as I have an order with no address'. There has only been 1 occasion when I've not found the 'orderee'

Yes, I had this also. I rang the helpline and they eventually sorted. They had to ring me back though as they said they couldn't credit me back with the bag as it wasn't showing as charged. They did sort it though - well, hopefully, see I have an amount still showing as due, which actually isn't but have had that now for the past two campaigns (keep getting it sorted but then another eroneous recharge crops up!)

As for anonymous orders, I've had it on Betterware but I followed my SL's advice when first starting out i.e. to address all the order forms before delivering the books (adds a 'personal touch'). Takes some time and, of course, you can't do it when canvassing for new customers but means if the weather's bad I can just collect books and shove them in my bag without worrying whether they've got delivery details on or not.

Good luck sorting out who the order's for.

I had the problem of unknown customer when I got an order with no details last year. Now I always write the house no. and road abbreviation at the top (small) ie. 3LR (3, London Road). That way I always know who has ordered even if its not filled in. It also means I can mix up my current and previous campaign books when I deliver and can see which house has which brochure.

Also works well on canvassing - I never check the books for orders til I get home.

Oh and I dont reuse order forms anyway as they get folded over at the top and look a bit 'secondhand'. When I keep a copy of their order for my records, I use the old order forms to note the orders of those who correctly keep their bottom copy (though not many do).
