Welcome Steph and everyone else starting out

My C11 has started out quite well. I am around the £100 mark with only my first round of books collected - I still have to do the other half of my territory, last time's customers and F&F.

Has anyone tried the 'Beauty of Knowledge training videos yet? All I can say is that I need a Tanya who spends almost £1000 a year on Avon and is apparently 'average'.....Oh Perleeze! :rotfl:

While I'm in negative mode :p I've just ordered some of the reps calling cards - anyone else noticed that they don't have any space for your details. Oh yes, and Lotus Shield - zero interest so far; looks like around 9 of the MM's may be going back unless the brochure launch brings some sales :(

On a positive note though, Outspoken seems to be selling well as I sold 5 last campaign and another 2 so far in this one.

That's it folks......I'll crawl back under my stone now :D

I'm still keying my orders on and have managed to sell another 2 fergie perfumes, ones which I had boxed up for the courier to collect today, except he didn't come! Phew!

Have done really well this campaign with creative ordering, :) and did an offer, spend £10 or more and choose a free shampoo or conditioner 250ml only from selected pages. It was 99p in C10 :D, so have received some good orders for the offer :D .

Hahaha, one of my customers, her cute daughter has obviously been playing with the Avon book! LOL, she had drawn on it and dropped it in the bath.... :) still her mum put an order in.

£137 worth of orders so far, and I know I have at least 2 more orders to come by Wednesday. Still have to get books out to my territory. C11 is definitely a better one.

Strange how two halves of the same road can be so different. Did one half a few weeks back, 28 books, got 6 new customers with 3 ordering around £66 of goods. Collected 35 books today from the other half and got 4 new customers with only 1 order for £3! Aureol reminded me about this with her drawn on and coloured book - one of my books returned had the house number missing as dog had obviously chewed the top of the order form! Managed to figure out which one it was (I think) by process of elimination. 7 books missing which I have 'lettered' for them to leave out on monday. Don't expect any more orders from these, though.

C11 is one of my best campaigns for a long time but this may only be due to increasing my customer base through referrals and new territory. If I only had my original customers, I think I may well have been considering whether to continue. Am hoping to recanvass the rest of my original territory again in the next few months then hope I have enough customers to carry me through the rest of this year and into next.

Elliebee - no idea how Lotus Shield is going to perform as I will be sending out the samples with C11 orders. Have finally decided (after much false starts and deliberation) that I will offer it at £5 brochure price with a promotion of a free detangling comb (£0.99 C11) with each order placed before I submit C12 - one per customer only. I will only make £1.25 profit per purchase with a tiny profit of £0.50 if I sell over 10 but then I guess I'll be so chuffed that I wont care! I just want people to try it so there's potential for repeat sales in the future.

LOL - just had another look at the Avon calling cards and aside from having no space for contact details, they also contain a thinly veiled threat:

'Either call me or I will call again' :rotfl:

Well THAT should make sure they call (except that there's no room for my contact details...........)

There's a hole in my bucket.....................(which won't mean anything to those under about 50 - it was a song which sort of went round in a circle, ie mend it with a straw, the straw is too dry, wet it, hole in bucket, etc!:D)

    Hi ladies
Im thinking about starting Avon, I have an 8 month old and could do with some extra pennies as Ive just given up my job, My problem being is im really really close to some rough estates which I would never walk around, is there a way I could just see whats available before I decide if I want to do it?

Im in the southwest (am i allowed to say that?)

    Hi Gempink,

Am in Okehampton (and yes, you are allowed to say where you're based; you can even put it in your profile so it shows whenever you post a message - if you want to that is).

Will PM you to exchange contact details and then if you like I'll ring you later today to have a chat.

    Regards,

    MC

Heheeee, I am not 50 and I remember Dear Liza, there is a hole in my bucket, Dear Liza, Dear Liza....

I learnt it at school and drove my family mad singing it!

Which calling cards are these Elliebee? Is it the pink ones ,that used to be yellow, saying please leave your book out for me??
