Great start Becky
Wow lots of new reps this week, good luck everyone.
I've a question for you experienced (and doing well) ladies. How do you present your books? I do a little newsletter which I slip inside the book, a printed slip stating collection day which I put at the front of the book and the order form which I fold in half and put in the book. They go in an Avon bag. In my opinion they look well presented and I recently had a little thank you card left out from a recanvas from a customer saying she'd never had such a good book before. That said... I think I may be making it too easy to see when to stick the book out without having to open the bag and therefor potentially loosing sales. I think it's a fine balance in not loosing books with people not putting them out because they don't see when to, and making it too easy to not open the bag.
Phew that was a lot of writing! I'd love to know what you doK xx

I make it very obvious what day Im collecting, even after a year and a half my regulars still manage to forget at times so I keep it simple for them. I do a newsletter highlighting good offers, which also has all my contact details & day of delivery on, which is the same size as the brochure, which goes over the back cover. Then I have a slip which says the day of collection which goes in over the back cover as well at the bottom of the slip - I have all 7 days done so I can alter as needed in case people rearrange when their delivery is as that will affect what day I collect their brochure. Order form goes inside near the front, usually between pages that have new products advertised on. I put a ring sizer in the jewellery section to. All this goes into a resealable bag. Everyone has their own system & way of presenting things. I say - so long as you package all the books identically thats the main thing, as then you usually have a good idea if they have been looked at.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Skincare on page 96-97 gets you all these skincare products, plus a great bag for only £8.50
The spacing is a bit higgldy piggdly on here, but if you lot want a copy, especially you newbies, email me at lucyclare73@hotmail.co.uk
I have a load of flyers that you are welcome to have. Including the double sided SSS 'bug spray', If you are doing C10 I have a fergie one which really boosted my sales this camp.
Try not to put too much in a book and rotate them to keep things fresh for your customers.
I personally print out my order forms and put most of the offers and collection dates and stuff on the order form. It works for me. 75% of my customers do leave their books out for me now as I have a good routine.
Happy avoning.....

Hello Everyone
I'm a newbie:j
Signed up on Sunday but sad as still have not been given any territory, should hopefully have some tomorrow but possibly not where I live( not good)
The advise on here is great, hope I can give some good advise at some point!
Quick question time, If i deliver books tomorrow(Tuesday) is it best to collect them on Friday and redeliver Friday and keep a rolling pattern? Can you post on here what type of patterns you do when delivering books please.
2nd question is as a first timer would you deliver a book to every house? or knock on the door and ask if they would like a book?
Just want to get out there as feel I'm losing valuable days! I have no family around my area so most of my orders will be from canvasing.
Thanks in advance

Just submitted my C9 order .... £451 sales :j:j think that's my highest ever :j:j and my total order was over £500 as I ordered quite a lot for myself and will still make £55 commission

Me personally, have been given new terrritory, I put books out on Saturday and notified everyone I was collecting them today. I got most of my 20 books back, lost about 3, which was fine, as they are on the back campaign and got 2 orders. Not bad for me for new territory and only 20 books.
To start with, I recommend short delivery and collections, to give yourself a chance to get your books around your territory before order date.
I put a note on the front of mine asking the householder to tick a box to say if they would not like to receive any more avon books. It saves putting one through their letterbox and you may not get it back and you can give it to someone that will hopefully order.
So a 2/3 day turnaround is probably good.
I personally am a stuffer, Marsden Cuckoo, knocks on the door and talks to them, this works for her, stuffing works for me. So it really is a personal choice. If you have the confidence to knock on doors, this is probably good for you, but you may find not everybody is in, so it may be best to leave a book.
yes I would deliver a book to every house, including those who say no junk mail or we do not buy on the doorstep.
And if you collect your books on Friday and can get them back out on Friday, I would, as this gives you more chance to cover your territory.
With my regular customers, I let them keep the book for a week, with new territory and territory that don't order, I only let them keep it for 2/3 days.
Good luck.0
