Thankyou for the quick reply Ellibee and Fiver29. I will wait until the kids go to bed before contacting SL as she did say she would get back to me asap(9am!) It's raining at the mo so would not want to take the kids out anyway.
Onwards and upwards hey, you never know I may have a whole village to deliver to later! Here's hoping anyway.:rotfl:

    Hia

As a SL myself, maybe this might help you. We do have an area mapping system which we put in the reps, name, address and postcode. That tells us which areas are available to give to a new rep.

Sadly, Avon no longer let us 'look' before we sign up a rep. We are now only allowed to look and book after the rep has signed up.

If we look too often we get kicked out of the system and have to work blind (not that we dont do that already) Even if she is an out of area SL she can still book your territory.

I am sorry to hear you feel so bad, You got all that info sorted out so quickly too. Stick it out a bit longer and ask to speak to your area sales manager, ASM. If the SL wont give you the details, Email me again with your postcode and details and I will get you the contact details of your ASM to contact personally.

Not all Sales Leaders are the same.

I have a nice little team going now and we are happy little avoners :rotfl:

Off to my next Avon Party shortly. Its starting early as its half term here. Will be a longer one than normal, but still fun. Kiddies are coming with and looking forward to playing with all the other kids.

Should be a ball and very very profitable. Will update on my return.

Am I right in thinking that anything that is 'creatively ordered' is generally better value to us? So if products are on 2 for £10 and the products customers have ordered come to £13 we 'creatively' make the £3 for our pocket plus the commission we make on the products?!?

This makes our sale figures go down but we can often make more 'creatively' right?

Its ok the reason I ask is I've not ordered creatively until now (3rd campaign) as I was too concerned about getting everything ordered correctly and ontime blah blah.

Can any of you experienced 'creatives' tell me if this is the best / right way?

    thanks :)

Yep thats completely right - much better to have the £3 in your pocket, plus the 25% from the £10 (£2.50) so £5.50 altogether. Whereas if you just ordered the £13 straight from Avon, with a 25% discount thats only £3.25 in earnings.

    Not very happy today:(

I replyed to an advert in my local paper to become a rep, so Sunday the rep(sl) arrived and signed me up. She said that she could not allocate me any streets until today, but by all means knock on a few doors to see if people have Avon ect. I was all hyped up and about an hour later with books in hand went to canvass various streets, cut a long story short 8 streets near me have Avon reps, so I decided not to waste anymore time.
Today I have been told all streets in my area are not avalible!!!

I'm now thinking, 1- The SL i spoke to is not from this area and is waiting for my local Area manager to let her know where is avalible, could the ASM tell her porkies and keep some streets so she or any of her SL can have them? or is there a system in place so anyone can have an area if avalible.
Also what if an Avon rep says she no longer wants a street does it go back in the pot so to speak or do some SL/ASM keep them to sign up new reps?
2- Why advertise when there is no local streets avalible?

I don't want to sound yuky but just don't understand why I have been signed up.
I have spent about 6 hrs getting books/flyers ready, dreaming (I know sounds silly) about delivering today.

I'm still hoping to get a response sometime today as what area there may be.

Sorry to go on and on

    Linzi

Trouble is - only the area managers know what is available and where it is as they have overall control of the area. So your SL genuinely wouldn't have known if there was/wasn't anything available. Hence why we SL still advertise as we don't know what areas are completely taken, plus a lot of people just want to sell to friends & family. Yes if a Rep gives up territory it goes back into the "Pot" and can be given to anyone, regardless of if your SL is from a different area that makes no difference. A lot of my reps are in a different area to me, and I usually have more luck communicating with their area managers than I do my own, as we don't like each other lol. Unfortunately if everything is taken, and no-one wants to give up any territory, then there isn't much that can be done, unless you just want to sell to f&f for a while, and then in a months there could be territory available. If you work / have family elsewhere, then you could always see if there is territory available around there if you are able to travel a little.

On the subject of creative ordering, Suncreams, Advance Techniques, and Colour Trend (check out to see which particular items) are all cheaper in C9 than C10

Thanks Lozza, I thought I was right but wanted to check.

Does anyone know what age the kids bath time range is suitable for at all?? IE. is it ok for 1 year old's or is it aimed at toddlers / young children 5 /6 upwards??

I was going to order some for my neighbour as a freebie, she has twin boys and has placed regularly since I started. I thought she may appreciate it but as they are almost 1yrs old I wasn't sure if it was suitable or not.

Can any of you wise ladies out there advise me?

    thanks

Someone has said that they use the kids range on their children, who are 21 months and they've been fine.

And someone else says they've used it on their kids since they were 1 1/2.
