Lozza, it would be AMAZING if you've got some spare C5 books - am now down to 11 as loads of people weren't in last night and I've still got two streets to cover.
Also with regards to the job what sort of lab do you work in? My best friend works in HR for a large lab so I could get her to keep an eye out for stuff for you xxx

That would be fantastic thank you so much! I do a variety of work - would probably be best if I email my cv when I've updated it? Have text you about the books x

I'd say you should hear by the end of this weekend. Can be worth checking your junk mail to as sometimes they end up in there x

  • Wow Laurasavon you are an inspiration-£300 every three weeks. How do you manage that. I see that you are a sales leader, how many reps do you look after? I am just getting started but love reading all the success stories.

    hello ladies,

I have a SL coming to see me tomorrow morning to tell me more about becoming an Avon representative :D I know I will probably find out lots of information tomorrow however, I'm a bit like Johanne where I like to work things back so to speak.

My question is approximately how many hours a week do you spend on Avon as a representative?

How many hours spent to drop books off (say 40 books to make things simple)
How many hours spent to collect
Time placing orders on line once a month
    Deliveries to customers?

    thanks in advance :)
  • Well I finally had an email back form my ASM only to be told that there are no free streets in my area :( Bit gutted as was hoping to get a bit more use from my books but hey ho!

My figures will be based upon once you've done a few campaigns - things will take a lot longer to start with while you get the hang of everything, buts gives you an idea of time once you've done a few campaigns and got the hang of everything - with starting so long ago I honestly can't remember how long things took me when I began!

For dropping 40 books off less than an hour - if I use my car to get me to my territory and from house to house - my streets are spread out a little as are customers

about the same time to collect, though inevitably (sp) not everyone will have left them out on the right day (even though they should be used to the idea after a year!!!) and they might not be in, so have to go back the next day to collect the "stragglers" in, so maybe an extra half hour on top.

for entering both mine & ohs orders online (on 2 separate accounts) an hour - though probably add another hour on for me checking through for "creative ordering" opportunities so 2 hours max. Though the good thing is you can enter orders as and when you get chance, and just save them, you don't need to submit them until close to your deadline.

takes me about 3 hours max to check our deliveries, and get everything bagged up - thats for approx £400 of goods and I don't rush admittedly as I like having a nosey at what the new products look like :p

for delivering orders - oh drives me round and I deliver - takes maybe 3 hours in total, though a lot of that is travelling, say half an hour, as we had one customer move away but theres no rep there so we continue to deliver to her.

I try not to think of avon as an hourly wage as I probably don't earn that much per hour - but for me & oh, theres no other way we could earn an extra £100 approx every 3 weeks (just from repping) and it fits round our shifts, I can get books prepped while I'm at home watching tv & he's on a night shift, so helps to keep me occupied and I have to say I like being my own boss :D Of course, working full time I don't spend as much time recanvassing or looking for new customers as other people do as I don't have the time - you do definately get out of avon what you put in.
