Just put my order in, not going to earn anything because I had to buy loads to do parties I just hope it pays of
Am in the same boat - have put two really big orders in so I've ended up paying upfront for quite a lot of stuff.
The organisers asked me to concentrate on jewellry but just found out that 37 unspecified items are no longer available in addition to 20-30 other items actually specified that are missing too so not sure how much jewellry am actually now going to be able to take! Oh, I was really pleased to be able to order the free nail varnish sets as I've offered free gifts for anyone ordering over £10 and thought they would be perfect. Unfortunately, they're out of stock too - 'thanks' Avon!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Weird....
Paid balance online via Barclays as usual. Got email from avon saying c6 order declined as not paid. Not sent c6 order, says saved as regular order on home page. Rang them, said phone barclays and order not sent altho emaIl says it is.. Barclays fraud auto call to see if i made payment. auto voice said i dont have to do anything but... not got time for all this!!! Anyone else had this?
How awful. Haven't had that problem, thank goodness, but for some reason in my last two orders I've been recharged for items I HAVE sent back...... Wonder if their systems are having a wobble?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Alot of these things seem good until you start speaking to other people who have experienced it!!!
Just had a call from my ASM (shocker) to congratulate me on my first order!!! She was also discussing territory so fingers crossed more success with this new lot.
I mentioned to her about a retirement village that has been built just out of her area and she said it doesn't come up on heir mapping systems so nobody can officially have it allocated to them. She said that I should go knocking on a few doors and see if they receive or would like an avon book and take it from there. What do you think??? I can't be officially stealing someone elses territory but still I hate confrontation!!!
aureol if you know someone from Betterware that would be fab, don't want to pay the start up costs with Kleeneze.
Hi Keri.s,
PM me with what town/area you're in and I'll pass on your details to my Betterware ASM - not sure if the 'refer a friend' scheme is applicable if I refer out of my area but no matter. Should be able to get someone to contact you sooner rather than later.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

How did you pick up avon customers? did you just happen to mention that you do Avon too and if they'd like a brochure?
I would have the car to do the deliveries because I'd probably do them in the evenings once hubby was home and boys in bed but how likely is it that I'd get territory close to my home as I'd be walking when delivering/collecting the books and don't wanna be pushing the buggy for miles along with a load of catalogues before I even get to delivering!!!
Hi again,
I altered my rubber stamp with my contact details on - now use the same one for both: "For Avon and Betterware ......... " then my details. Also use it on the notes when you don't get the Betterware books back (which am not really bothered about being that I don't pay for them and gives me the opportunity to let people know I do Avon too!)
As for territory, all depends on where you live I guess. I had a short stint of being the only person in my town doing Betterware so I told them where I was going..... There's now a few of us so we have our own territory now - if your area works the same as mine though, it's more personal than Avon - your upline manager actually delivers the stuff to you and you discuss how many books you want to put out the following week and where. With weekly campaigns, it's more 'immediate' than Avon but you're stuffing books rather than asking so that's quicker. (Books are bigger though.) They even supply you with a book bag - did use it initially but felt a plonker so I've now reverted to using my own shopping bags.
Also deliveries to your customers are quicker than Avon as B suggest you prep a book with a stick-it note (which they supply of course), advising the customer that their order of £...... will be delivered on ....... day at ..... time and asking them to contact you if not convenient. Some do, some don't. The stick-it note also invites them to have a second look at the catalogue and if they'd like to order something else then you'll be delighted to collect the new order at the same time. Works a treat and, of course, the re-orders do mount up.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I did the same as Keri.s and ordered both. When they came it seemed obvious but very confusing when you order them!
Don't want to confuse you further but.... 06833 actually say 5/6 (38/39) on the pack but look more like 4/5 to me. Having said that, am a 6 and I can actually get them on - pretty 'snug' though and if I were ordering for me I'd go for the bigger size.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

yummymummy85 wrote: »Just had a thought, has anyone ever done an Avon raffle? I was thinking of offering tickets at 50p or £1 each then the winner would either recieve a selection of products from the current brochure (amount depending on how many tickets sold) or a voucher to spend in the brochure (again amount depending on how many tickets sold. I would perhaps put a sticker on the front of my books about it then ask when collecting the books?
Pretty sure others have mentioned they've considered/done raffles but unless it's an 'on the night' thing i.e. at a party, then as aureol says I'm not sure it's to be recommended.
PS: Sorry to hear about the interview, aureol (I wasn't around when you were posting about it) - better luck next time.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
