    Hi,
    Wonder if someone can advise.
I wanted to start with Avon to up my income. I have a dmp with cccs and wondered if you are credit checked as part of the registration process.
I would hate to waste the Area managers time if this is the case.
    Thanks

    Thank you soooooooooooo much ladies.

It is a similiar job as I used to do, so am already kind of semi trained - obviously need to learn the job properly but I won't need as much telling of what the standards are re auditing as I already know about them.

    Hi Hayston

You are credit checked but I am not sure if this will affect your credit score.

Why don't you contact Avon and ask them?

Am going to miss seeing my little boy everyday but will make the 4 days I have with him so worth it!!!

And at least I have a guaranteed, if little salary coming in!

    CONGRATULATIONS :j

That is excellent news and you must feel like a huge weight has been lifted. I'm really pleased for you xx

    Hi Hayston,

Could be wrong but I think when you apply to Avon you are awarded 'points' based on your answers to the questions on the application form i.e. if you have a bank account, credit card, catalogue account they're all seen as positives (presumably, also if you're a home-owner and been at your current address for a few years). Provided you reach a certain points level then you're approved; if you don't then they do an actual credit check, which presumably then shows up on your credit footprint.

Don't worry about wasting your AM's time (although a lot of people agree that you'd be better signing up with an SL rather than an ASM) - if you want to do Avon then your upliner will do everything they can to help you.

PS: No idea what a dmp is or a ccc - is the latter like a ccj?
Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon ;))

    Hi MarsdenCuckoo,
Thanks for your reply. A dmp is a debt management plan. I got behind with some payments to my creditors because of a huge reduction in income. CCCS is the consumer credit counselling service - a charity which has helped organise the dmp.
  • Hello - I was worried about my credit rating aswell but I spoke to the ASM about it and she told me that owning my own home, having a bank account, having CC's, being married etc all mean't that I should have no problems. Still waiting for confirmation but I had a welcome to Avon email today so fingers crossed.

Did my 1st catalogue drop yesterday in my road and am collecting them in on Friday. Already got £58 worth of orders from friends so hopefully won't have a problem getting MOV :).
