How awful. Haven't had that problem, thank goodness, but for some reason in my last two orders I've been recharged for items I HAVE sent back...... Wonder if their systems are having a wobble?

MC - just ring or email them, stating the products numbers of the items you've been incorrectly recharged for, and provide the barcode number you used to send those items back, and avon will re-credit you again.

  • Hiya Girls!
Feeling a bit disappointed at the mo. Since meeting with me ASM two weeks ago tomorrow, I only have £36odd in orders. At this rate, I am not going to hit my target and the OH will be able to say 'told you so!' as he is being quite negative about the whole thing! This is only my first campaign, and have spent quite a bit of time doing some paper inserts for the bags and stuff, just thinking is it all gonna be worth it! Did everyone hit their targets when they first signed up?
    xx

Tell him to help whether he wants to or not lol - does he work, and could he maybe take some brochures into his work place, or any clubs etc that he goes to - maybe some of his friends partners might want a brochure? They're probably people you don't speak to normally - I've never met my oh's work colleagues! - but can be a good way to get more orders. Other than that - I assume you have a territory? - canvass that as much as you can, you might not get lots of customers this campaign depending upon how the previous rep left, but when they see you are reliable they will order. Ask your asm for some more territory as well she might be able to give you some more. Other than that - just think of absolutely everyone you know, even if it isn't that well, and ask "would you like a brochure, or do you know someone who would" - leaves it open then, for them to say no I don't, but my Mum would etc, otherwise some people might not think to pass the brochure on to their mum/sister/friend/neighbour etc etc. See if your family/friends could take brochures into their work places / any clubs they go to. Hope you manage to reach mov x:beer:

  • Thanks for your advice Lozza, he does help, or should I say, stand and watch.. lol He has taken 3 books into his work place (He works for an IT company and mainly has men at work lol) so I guess he has done his bit! I wasnt given any territory, I asked my ASM if it was OK to pop some brochures out being as its a new development we live on. I did the main houses, but may pop out tomorrow and put some around the others.

Thanks, Lozza, yes I know they'll credit me back - just a pain and I wondered why this is happening for two orders on the trot when both recharges are incorrect? Actually, I did forewarn them I was keeping three items from my last lot of returns so asked them to recharge me but they haven't done those items, they've recharged two different ones!

Oh one customer has given me total run around with her C5 order, she got me so mad argh! takes order,oh dont get paid until thurs can you come back "yes ok" goes thurs, oh I made a mistake dont get paid until next week "ccan you come back next wed" okay I said Goes wed as arranged, oh well need to try bra`s before I pay you, u oh no way You pay me and if they do not fit give me a call and I can collect and refund money, I will ring and let you know when Iam next in, One last time call again, Oh she does not want bras and other half said little one cannot have necklace, bt now Iam boiling inside but keep the friendly face ,oh did you get Avon book I left outside with order in "NO" Kids must have pinched it she says, so by now I totally have had enough and said Do not worry I will put you the next book through
DO YOU REALLY THINK LADY I WILL POST ANOTHER BOOK THROUGH YOUR DOOR!! ===== Me thinks not

Oh dear, empathise with you. I did have a similar experience with one customer (but not as bad) - she kept asking me what she'd ordered and then would decide what she could afford this week and what the following week and, sometimes, what she didn't want at all. She did give me a few leads to other good customers (who didn't mess me around) so I thought it was worth persevering.

She then asked about being a rep! Of course, I signed her up but luckily she changed her mind before going ahead..... Whew! She now orders from her sister, who's on my team. Fingers crossed!

    Hi,

I thought I should let you know that I've decided to take the plunge and join as an Avon Representative! :D The lovely SL came round this morning to tell me all about it :p

Now... several hours later I'm starting to panic (if you're reading this SL, its only a minor panic)

My OH is being a bit negative not in a nasty way just in a "well I'm not sure it will work way". Which only makes me want to prove to him that it will work!! (it will won't it ladies?) I'm not joining until the next campaign due to other commitments so have plenty of time to plan my strategy and read through the catalogue. I suppose I'm worried I won't get any orders at all I just hope the people in the streets close to where I live are all nice to me. :D

    Congrats and good luck.

Hope your SL mentioned about Creative Ordering.... that's one sure way to convince your OH that it WILL work - that and the fact that you may never have to pay for make-up, shower gels, 'lotions and potions' ever again! (Not to mention all the discounted Xmas and birthday pressies you now have at your finger tips. ;) )

Even though you're not starting until the next campaign, you might as well start passing the word to all your F&F (and carry an Avon book around with you....)
