Thanks for your replies to my earlier post, really appreciate it.

Another quickie, placed my order for C6 on Friday (its my 1st order) the total sales were £420 which I'm really pleased about as it was just F&F as territory not sorted!!! I logged into the rep site today and it says that the order is prepared and it has an invoice number. Do you think this means that they have allowed me enough credit to cover it rather than me paying up front for some?? Also the invoice number allows me to click on it but it comes up with a blank page, could this be a site error or is it too soon for me to view the invoice?? Delivery is Friday and I am so so excited!!! I'm such a saddo lol

Firstly congrats thats fantastic!!! And yes if it says prepared then your credit limit has been high enough for the order to be processed - if it was showing as "held" thats when theres problems. The invoice will show as a blank page for the next couple of days, I would imagine by Wednesday, definately Thursday, it should be showing up - you can view it before your order is delivered, but it takes a few days for it to be processed.

Thanks - been looking this morning buts theres nothing close-ish that I'm actually qualified to do lol! Will be re-writing my cv this weekend and sending it to local companies, see if I have any luck that way.

Thanks Lozza, all is great then. Have just received new territory for the 3rd time a bit of a rough area but after reading previous thread which covered this and will give it a go as I will be canvassing mainly in the day time and whats not to say I don't come across another rep!!!!!

There is no harm in sending your cv around at least you are being proactive and there is nothing to lose. Good luck x

omg just checked the supply issue list on the website and:

8 in 1 Eye Palette Neutral Tones Stock available again mid Campaign 8

ridiculous! Had 2 customers order them last time (luckily Mum was one of the customers so she won't mind waiting) but think it'll have to be ebay for the other one, can't expect someone to wait that long!!!

Where is the supplies list please? I'm waiting on 2 smokey eyes 8in1 palettes xx

oh well... new territory was POO! Got wait for it.. 18 books back out of the 58 i dropped!!   And only got 2 orders totalling £18.35. :(:(

That means i should only get commission of £4.58 for 5 hours work.. AND ive lost least £6!

(im sad and worked out my books work out about 15p each once ive factored in book @ 11p, bag @ 3p and then my slips of paper plus ink must be about 1p each.......but even if not .....a calling card is 0.6p so factor that in whenever i lose a book and its def 15p per lost book!)

Going back tomorrow to try get some more back! Never had such a bad response! Even had one lady physically throw the book at me (minus my 3p bag :( ) saying she was not interested before slamming the door in my face!

    Joys of our job eh...

Hi yes I do, when the weather isn't too bad! My tips would be:

make sure you have lots of non avon stuff to sell as well, you are unlikely to sell enough avon stuff to cover the cost of petrol for getting there, & the cost of your pitch and make a decent profit. Plus we've found having some assorted crap lol on the stall as well helps to attract more people in.

have a variety of products, but nothing too expensive - say lots of items at a £1 and the odd thing thats a bit more

research your local carboots, go and pop along as a customer - we found some only had the usual carboot rubbish for sale, the one we go to is a large one, with fruit & veg stalls, bouncy castle, etc so you get a variety of people going, the smaller ones you only really get bargain hunters going to.

take lots of change! and take your own food & drink as its very expensive at carboots!

Thanks lozza1985, what types of items sell, how does jewellery etc do?
    Thanks again

Went to collect my second lot of books in today, and got two orders totalling £40 out of 16. Then got home and my friend and her mum had posted their orders through the door, plus my neighbour came over with an order, and I managed to get an order from one of the girls at work too! Yay, a great day for orders!

On the downside, when I was collecting my books I noticed the houses had Kleeneze books outside awaiting collection, with Avon books inside them. How cheeky! Anyway I've phoned the rep who's books they were (she lives on the other side of my town too) who tried to say it was allowed, so was quite firm and told her not to put Avon books in her Kleeneze ones on my streets. Hope that was ok - I feel quite cheeky as I have only been doing Avon for 5 days!
  • Hi!

I'm a newbi! On my 2nd campaign now... though not doing as well as I did on the first one (£400 of sales compared with £200 so far...) can I just ask if anyone is struggling a bit with campaign 6??? I' doing new roads with C6 (don't think I'll get chance to recanvass this time around - need more books!) and have had a very poor responce - most of my orders so far have been from the C5 I'm still using...

Don't know if they're just duff roads :D!

Well done MissyTheCat, she most definitely is not allowed to put her books in with her kleeneze on your territory.

I know what she is doing, she is hoping that when she drops her Kleeneze books that she will pick up new customers, if there is no rep there or the rep does not canvass their territory.

But no, she is not going to canvass for customers on your territory!

    Hi smileycaz

they might just be waiting to see if you are a stayer rep and will be coming back again. You might find that next time you canvass these roads you will get a better response. Don't put them down just yet.
