I work full time and I would say I earn about £300 every 3 weeks from doing Avon, but if I didn't work I could spend alot more time and earn alot more from Avon - you get out of it what you put in

I work full time and if me or oh isn't in, then the delivery drivers puts in the shed, you can specify a "safe location". My mil gets it permanently delivered to my address, as she has no safe location at her house, so that is an option you can go for to, it doesn't need to be delivered to a sl house, it can just be a friend/family/work address as already mentioned x

    Hi all,
I have been lurking for a while and have had loads of helpful advice from reading all the posts so thank you x

I have a problem like alot of people seem to have regarding territory!!! I have now had 2 lots of territory allocated to me from ASM that is somebody elses!!! Have to say the ASM is rubbish and proper moody when I call her, had I of known how Avon was structured before I joined up I def would have looked for a SL rather than applying direct via the website :(

I live on the border of 2 areas and have contacted customer services to see if I can have the number of the ASM for the other area so I could maybe find a nicer ASM and possibly some AVAILABLE territory but they would not give me a number!!!

A question to all you SL's is there anyway of me finding out the other ASM's number?? Also is there a way to find out whether my current area is over run with reps or I've just been unlucky with territory?? It seems everyone I speak to hasn't seen a book in forever yet a rep already has the area!!! I would imagine that the rep is not re-canvassing but I don't like this confrontation that I seem to be having with other reps everytime I go out with my books!!!!

Sorry for the long post x
  • Hello Everyone, I was just wondering what sort of time in the evenings was acceptable for collecting books back. I won't be able to get out tonight until about 7pm - do you think that is too late and will be disturbing people too much. I don't want to annoy any potential customers.

Also, this is my first campaign and as I only have 20 books to drop (well 16 now seeing as I couldn't get 4 back so far from my first drop) and I am leaving them for two days at the customers houses I don't think I will be able to get to all of my territory before my order has to be in. Will I get in trouble for this? Any advice gratefully received xxx
  • I often dont collect till about 7ish as got to wake for hubby to get in from work to look after the 2 kids. Also you tend to catch more people in at that time as well.

You wont get into trouble for not doing all your territory this time. I leave my books for 2 days as well so you just need to be organised next time to try and get round them all. Your SL/ASM wont checkup whihc houses you have done or haven't but you might be missing out on some orders. HTH

As a mum, you don't always have time to straighten your hair, put on the makeup and look like a yummy mummy, some days you just got to pull on some clothes and get out of the door!
LOL, I'm not even a mum and sometimes I'm out trying to sell Avon with no make up on and hair a mess! I like to think I'm getting away with it at the moment as my scarf round my neck hides the ends of my hair ....... but probably not!!!
I try and at least do a quick slick of avon lipstick before I run out of the door, so far nobody has asked me about what shade it is, but I live in hope!

I dont wear make up at all (not even on a night out) so Im not a very good advertisement lol. But my plan for this year is to lose the baby weight (and flabby tum) and start making more of an effort. Feel a bit of a scruff half the time and want to be a yummymummy lol

nope don't worry just do what you can, it's a while still till your order is due in so you'll be surprised how many you do manage to cover. And yeah 7 till about 8 pm is fine for getting books back not too late at all x

unfortunately you can only have territory from the managers area that you live in, even though you live close to the border of another area - rubbish I know but that's the set up I'm afraid x

Hi as Lozza1985 said, unfortunately, you cannot get territory from another ASM.

We can't tell you if there are a lot of reps where you are, it is one of those things you find out as you are out and about.

I know there are a lot of reps in my area, as I have seen their books in shops, hairdressers, and one had to take a couple of my deliveries.

The only thing I can suggest is try and get some new customers through word of mouth. Ask your current customers if they know anyone that might like to see a book, family, friends, etc. If you go anywhere, hairdressers, beauty shop, gym, etc take a book with you and ask if you can leave one, or if anyone would be interested in taking a look.
