Hi Mel, when I find I am struggling for orders, I put an incentive with my books. My current incentive was spend £10 or more and receive a free gift. I will only buy the free gift when I have seen an order for £10 or more, and it will be something for £1 or under from the Clearance part of HT.

Maybe you could do something similiar? Or offer a prize draw?

Thank you! I already have an incentive for a free gift with over £20 spend but think i may lower it to £10 esp as there is some stuff for 50p in the current HT.

Still waiting for my ASM to get back to about some more territory. Have collected all my books in and still have just under a week til my order needs to be in so it feels like wasted time when I could get them out again if I had some more houses to deliver them too!! Still got a couple of orders to come from friends so who knows may even break £250 this time!

Out of interest, is it possible to change to having a SL rather than an ASM or would I have to resign and then rejoin? It just seems like SLs are more proactive when it comes to their reps than ASMs!

yes you can - however you need to leave for 8 campaigns before you can rejoin under someone else. Wouldn't help much with you getting more territory - sl still have to go through asms for additional territory for reps unfortunately. I'd keep emailing her every 48 hours (not including weekends) as they are *supposed* to reply to emails within 48 hours, so if you keep emailing her, eventually she will admit defeat and get back to you!

    Hi Loopy

I think Lozza1985 occasionally does carboots.

Hi yes I do, when the weather isn't too bad! My tips would be:

make sure you have lots of non avon stuff to sell as well, you are unlikely to sell enough avon stuff to cover the cost of petrol for getting there, & the cost of your pitch and make a decent profit. Plus we've found having some assorted crap lol on the stall as well helps to attract more people in.

have a variety of products, but nothing too expensive - say lots of items at a £1 and the odd thing thats a bit more

research your local carboots, go and pop along as a customer - we found some only had the usual carboot rubbish for sale, the one we go to is a large one, with fruit & veg stalls, bouncy castle, etc so you get a variety of people going, the smaller ones you only really get bargain hunters going to.

take lots of change! and take your own food & drink as its very expensive at carboots!

Have emailed ASM to say that I will take the road thats on the 'rough' estate. Hoping the reputation it has is untrue

    Hi everyone

I am thinking of applying for an Avon round in my area, however I work full time presently and there wouldn't be anyone at home in the day when the delivery arrives.

Does anyone else work full time and how do they manage to get their deliveries? I couldn't impose on my neighbours and ask them to take the delivery in and anyway they all work full time as well.

My next door neighbour takes mine in as they are home all day but you can have it left in a safe place like a shed or where ever hth

    Hi Everyone,

Just a wee bit of an update from my end. Thought it would be good to share my experiences with everyone.

I placed my order and was so excited about it arriving and almost everything arrived. On the day of delivery, I was lucky and the driver arrived just as I was leaving. he was such a nice chap and promised me that if he arrived and I had left for work he would put it in my shed and post the key (now the reason he was so nice had absolutely nothing to do with the can of juice, crisps and chocolate that I gave him! HAHAHA)

I spent an hour bagging up the orders and went and delivered them, only got one left to get 'rid' of and have started putting out new brochures, although I have to admit I think its a VERY quick turn around that AVON want between brochures! In saying that... I have already met my MOV for this order! I expected it to be quite slow but fingers crossed!

Could it be delivered to another family member and you collect it from there or a friend?
