Whoop really chuffed with our orders, helped by the fact one of my customers referred her step-daughter who placed a £50 order :D

And made an extra £20 from creative ordering, plus a customer ordered 2 sss body washes from C7 - but didnt't want the £5 offer they were in, so have ordered 2 of the sets as its lots of free gifts for very little cost :)

Thanks lozza, only emailed ASM Friday last week so will give her a chance to reply first but will definitely give her a nudge if I don't hear back by Thursday.

Glad you've had some success with your orders that's good to hear. I'm sure I'll pick up some more just feeling a bit fed up that some of my new territory hasn't resulted in much yet.

How many times do you drop before you give up as some do open the brochures and others clearly don't. I was thinking 3 strikes then you're out kind of approach and so next campaign I will give them the option to opt out.

In which case don't worry - area managers don't work bank holidays or weekends.

I delivered to everyone for 5 campaigns (unless they requested to not receive a brochure). Then just delivered to people who had ordered. I recanvass maybe 20 houses a campaign, and keep getting new customers - people change their minds / people move in or out / kids come home from uni and order / they loose the rep that they used to order from at work etc etc.

Unless you never get the book back from a particular house, then I would say carry on regardless :D

A few months back I got a first order from a house that I had mentally written off.....I'd only been leaving a book every 3 weeks for 2 years! Just employ the old Chinese water torture principal ;)

Wow Elliebee, you have much more patience than me!

I had a call from my SL about the territory I asked for. Another rep who is a friend is no longer canvassing so one of her roads (VERY local to me) is available for me to do with the exception of her customers (I have their numbers). Problem is, this is the road where I discovered another rep canvassing last september - have no idea if she has tried again since. It may be a rep who has perhaps stopped doing avon or the fairly new one who moved in down my road who has been canvassing another local reps area. Have decided I will give it a go and have revamped my slips to 'yes please', 'no thanks' and 'I already have a rep'. If I only get the second and third responses then I will pass back to SL as its 80-90 'dead' houses as far as I'm concerned.

Hope its not a waste of time.

    well done Gloversgirl!

I am recommending Avon products to everyone at work, they are even asking me for advice now, but I advise and refer them to the resident Avon lady who was selling to them before I came along. She hasn't even said thank you to me! I am boosting her sales by recommending tried and tested, and instead of sneaking the sales for myself am telling them to go to her for a book. Saw her today, no thank you, just a dirty look!

I cant believe someones son was buried alive...do you know if he was ok? i know thats a silly question. as unless someone found him or it was a very sick 'joke' there is usually one outcome to it...that poor woman i cant imagine what she must be going through!
New customer so don't know them well enough to ask details but she did tell me they're having to wait for a post mortem....

Same customer had a problem with a product so I ordered a replacement to see if it was faulty or not - delivered the new one and left it to her to test it out. Collected the faulty one today (took 3 visits) and she apologised for not having had time to look at the new brochure....... In the scheme of things, Avon matters NOT A JOT! Sorry, but sometimes we all need a wake-up call as to what really is important. (Bless, she even apologised if her husband was rude to me......)

oh how annoyed am i ....i guess its to be expected with big orders..but i have bits missing and replaced with something else...i have a bottle of bubble bath were the cap has split leaked everywhere...i had a bottle of the aloha handwash withj no pump top!!! good job i have one laying around at home...the pump top wasnt even in the box...do they pack the boxes with their eyes closed?

sorry just needed that little rant :D

Can't be sure but think I read somewhere that the boxes are packed ('chucked in') by machine, which makes sense when you see the end result.....
