Avon Hints and Tips (Part 4)

I have a customer that I have been trying to get hold off for a while, we just keep missing each other, as she lives a bus ride away from me. I texted her and tried to call but the call wasn't connecting. So I contacted my friend who knows her to ask if she was ok, and was told the police had her phone as she had been sexually assaulted.

It puts life into perspective doing Avon, doesn't it? We learn so much about our customers or so little from what we do.

Some good news, went to my friend's house today to drop off her avon order, and she, her cousin and sister placed an order, that nearly hits my MOV! One of my customers texted to say she has an order and did she want me to leave her book out now, it is not due until Friday for collection by me, and another customer said she wants to order a few bits Happy days.

And my friend's cousin likes the smell from the book of the Fergie perfume, I forgot to take the sample with me, so she might buy it when it comes out in book 10.

AND she's offered to take my Avon book to her workplace - she works in a nursery as there are a few girls there who might be interested :j . Good news from me for a change!

Right a question. Or twenty.

Am thinking about doing a party. Not at our house, possibly in a local function room if I can persuade someone to give it for me on the cheap on a tues or weds night possibly.

So I need brochures, order forms, pens and demo products. If I stock up on clearance items, can I also sell those on the night, or does that fall into the 24 hours between order and delivery?? What happens with moneymaker items, can I sell those on the night and let the customer take them away??

If I have it at a local pub, I am assuming that I cannot leaflet streets local to that pub as it is not my territory, right??

If you have a look at page 61 of this thread you will find a discussion regarding the 24hr between order and delivery. It applies when you are standing on someone's doorstep. You would be fine to sell items on the night.

Hi ladies I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend?

Thanks lucyclare for providing us with the information on the SSS spray that's a great help.

Picked up 16 brochures on some new territory and didn't get one, not one order . I got one note saying Avon was too expensive?!? however one lady left a note saying not this time but that I could leave a brochure next campaign so all is not lost still felt really deflated though. I dropped another lot of brochures out last night so fingers crossed on Wednesday when I collect them I get some orders.

Emailed my ASM with my territory last week as she wanted to know who was looking after what streets in my area. Have asked for some more but no response as yet, will probably just knock and drop at this rate as I really want some more orders.

Feeling a bit fed up about it today.......

Hope that you all had a really good bank holiday. Have been working my toes off (socks went ages ago!) So far, orders have been slower i think for C9, but have sold 4 antler bags and now up to 12 SSS bug sprays! 6 have been prepaid even! But there we are. C9 sales so far £551.40 with books only being out for a week. That is the worst or the best of the territory done, have books out to collect today and another 20 to prep to go out. So hopefully would like to pick up some more orders. Have sold 1 Fergie set and hopefully will sell another this week. Had an appointment for today cancelled (well shes not answering her phone and has not confirmed and im not driving 60 miles round trip for a no show, as she has postponed it twice before), so will get those books out today I think!

Have a party booked for 16th May and another for 1 June, both of them in C10! Hopefully that will be busier and best of all, paid my C9 bill today at the post office
