    Hi kitatravs,

    Well done so far! Avon can be a great confidence booster.. You could try something like this:
    "Hi, I'm ***** your new Avon Lady. I'm happy to pop brochures through your door for you to browse. No pressure to order, I'm happy for people to just look through."
    You could also add....
    "I've started doing Avon to help with my Driving Lessons / Take the kids out more / save for a computer for the kids etc etc"
    Or also be honest:
    "I'm quite shy and find this daunting, hope you didnt mind me knocking on your door.." Most people react positively to this..

    I have spoken to some really nice people who make the day worth while.

    Just received my ever so tiny first order (thanks to the area mix ups) and I'm amazed at the amount of waste with the packaging. Thank goodness my council accidentally gave me 2 extra bags for cardboard waste, because I think I'm going to need them :undecided
    Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:

    Ok thanks for your help. It is annoying - I like to check my subtotal and earnings :(. I will run past you what I'm doing and see what you think if thats ok?

    To get the free beauty bonus for spending over £20 on Anew products do the items need to be ordered from Campaign 8 or could I order from campaign 7 (when they were cheaper) and still get the free gift?

    I added 2 Anew moisturisers from campaign 7 and the beauty bonus and wanted to check the subtotal to see if it had worked. If I can't check the subtotal I think I will have to order them form campaign 8 in case it doesn't work.

    Providing the items are for £20 then you still can you would need to select 8 from the drop down box for each item

    Just another quick question :) . If an item is showing with a yellow dot for limited stock do you tend to find that you don't receive this item? I've only had it happen once with the Oasis watch and I didn't receive it (as yet anyway).

    The beauty bonus free gifts are showing as low stock at the moment :(.

    I wouldn't necessarily worry - usually items that are showing with a yellow dot turn up - only exceptions that I've found are sale/discontinued items / the limited edition items like those oasis watches that feature once and then not again.

    There has been problems with bonus bags in the past, but don't worry I would image they'll turn up. You can check your invoice online a few days before your delivery arrives (eg my order goes in tomorrow, invoice usually shows Friday, with my delivery on Monday) so you can check then and it will tell you what is / isn't coming.

    Have had a really strange few days, coming across various instances of pretty severe crises in some of my customers' lives and has given me food for thought:

    * The little old lady, who only places very small orders occasionally but is very talkative when you arrive......... You're probably making her day/week/month just by stopping and chatting to her. Chances are she doesn't need, or even want, what she's ordering but she looks forward to your visit so she orders.

    * People, who are not in when you call and call again and again...... could be going through a traumatic event (this week I've had a customer's partner walking out and taking all the furniture; another customer being made homeless and taking on the most appalling accommodation; someone's partner having a heart attack and, sorry, the most heart-rending of all - a son being buried alive.....)

    Am certain we've all had wasted visits to deliver our goods but sometimes we have to realise that 'life' happens outside Avon and when it comes down to it I'd really prefer to have a wasted journey than experience first hand some of what my customers have experienced recently. :(

    I know exactly what you mean...i too have the lady who orders just so she has someone to talk to.
    The worst i had was a day after i posted a brochure through with my details on i got a call from the police..instant panic of course lol..but they askeds me when id last seen this particular lady (id only ever seen her once or twice) and it was a few months before...shed been reported missing, and they were looking at all possible leads...everytime i walk past her house i think about her as the curtains are still drawn and its clear the house isnt used...i just hope shes ok...even tho its someone i dont know.

    but i cant believe someones son was buried alive...do you know if he was ok? i know thats a silly question. as unless someone found him or it was a very sick 'joke' there is usually one outcome to it...that poor woman i cant imagine what she must be going through!

    I'm off out in a couple of hours to pick up orders from my first campaign. I've already had a phone call from one customer (she's asked if she could write a cheque now, so it's cleared by the time the goods arrive - as she won't be in on delivery day).

    So, it's looking encouraging so far. Fingers crossed!

    Is there anyone in the NORWICH area?? i want to start a 'commitee' to organise a fundraising pink party day for breakthrough. anyone interested in getting involved?
    anyone done one of these ...i think a few might have answered last time i asked lol
    I might have a bouncy castle i can hire for free :) so that would be good...will probably do a cake sale, a raffle (writing to some of the local and national companies for donated prizes :) ) maybe some facepainting etc for the kids...any other ideas?

    At what point do the green/yellow/red dots show up? Order has to be in on Wednesday so will the stock availability show up after I've placed the order?

    Green/yellow/red dots show up about 48hrs prior to your deadline. However it is only a guide. For a definitive answer (barring any mis-picks) you need to wait for the invoice to appear online which is a few days before your delivery.
