Hi Wendy
as I always have my DS with me, I just pop them through the door, or should I say he does!
I have the Avon - this brochure is expired card, I staple it to the front of the book with my contact details.
Haven't found a rep yet, but did find 2 new customers this wayAm still trying to convince one to become a rep. She said when her oldest DD starts nursery, she might think about it.
That was quick! Think I will do exactly the same.. ThankyouI love being a Sales Leader... most of the time...0 -

Yeah I do the same - I don't like to knock and bother people, plus I think it gives them a bit of a chance to think about it before they reply so *hopefully* they will be better reps, rather than people who say yes on the spur of the moment, but then realise theres a bit of work involved and change their mind!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Ok, I forgot to tell you about Twitter. And sorry to anyone else that is waiting on information from me, am just so behind in my life. And I have DS all the time when I am not working, so I don't get a break, plus he is not going to bed until 8pm now, so my evenings are even shorter!
Right,
go to https://www.twitter.com/signup
Now for your username, you can use anything! You can use your real name if you choose or make something up.
There are a lot of people on Facebook who are doing the numerous number of competitions now available on FB, all using xxxxMSE... I mean how obvious is that!
Anyway, once you have registered, you will be taken to choose people to Follow from a list, ie Entertainment. But you have to sit and trawl through them. I would skip this and go to choose friends, add people if you want her, or go to step 3, search for anyone. In the box on the left hand side type in, eg Eddie Izzard. When it has verified, it means it is a genuine celebrity account. And believe me you get people impersonating people on there!
Click on follow, and when you are finished adding people to FOLLOW, click on done.
You will now see a timeline. This time line will show you Tweets (status updates) from people you are following. So everytime they tweet something, it appears in your timeline.
Then you Tweet a message about anything you like in the box, and press Tweet.
If you want to send a tweet to someone, ie Eddie Izzard, who you are following, you have to type in @eddieizzard I really enjoyed watching you run the marathon. Shame BBC1 didn't broadcast it instead!
Then press Tweet.
This message will be sent to Eddie and anyone else following him will be able to read it.
If you want to send a private message, you have to DM them, as in Direct Message.
If you click on the box with the cog wheel and the down arrow, you will see Direct Message eddieizzard.
Click on this, write your message and send.
The more people you follow, and the more your tweet, the better for you. As you get people following you back and RT (retweeting) what you say.
This is hard for me as keeping my avon Twitter id separate from my other one. But will need to spend sometime trying to network and probably get people I know following me just to promote my tweets, but not helpful when they live far away! I need it to get new customers/reps where I am.
But I hope this has helped a little. Anymore questions, just ask.0 -
how many times to you call on a house to get a brochure back, only ive got about five houses where ive called 3 or four times at different times of the day but had no answer.
I dont know whether to keep trying, post the next brochure out to them or simply delete them from my delivery rout?
What do you guys think is the best approach.. i just keep having this awful feeling that maybe there is someone in those houses who has wrote an order out but if i dont get it will think im unrealiable and not bother againAvon rep

Have you popped a calling card or a note through? If I can't get an answer (or I'm collecting early in a morning) I pop a note through which has something along the following lines on it:
sorry I missed you, I called to collect your avon brochure. I will return tomorrow, please leave it outside so that I need not disturb you.
It has my name & contact numbers on there also.
If that doesn't give a result - I pop another note through, saying that if they would like to place an order this time, please contact me on *mobile number* *landline number* *email address* by the x date. Thank you, Laura
I don't try again - as they know that I've tried a few times to get the book.
If I don't get a book back, and they've never ordered before, then I miss them a couple of campaigns then try again.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
