Hi Ladies,
?Just had some discouragement from a lady.........
Just went out to collect the brochures I took round on thursday and saw a woman outside the first house. I asked her if she was interested in anything in the brochure I put through her door she said No and that she does Avon herself. She then went on to say (after I said I just started) she's only done it for three months but was thinking of 'packing it in' as it was too difficult in terms of bringing the money in. She then went on to say that road has an Avon rep working on it who's been doing it for years and years........ I guess I need to tell SL that area is taken.
I just think cos I have just started, I could really have done without the discouragement!!:(:(
I know how you feel, twice now my ASM has given me roads which are already done by someone else, its really disheartening knowing the brochures you've just put out and have to spend time collecting in are going to be worthless.
I've just put out books on the 3rd area she's given me, if I get another phone call from an irate rep accusing me of stealing her area, the SL might find a whole pile of Avon catalogues stuck where the sun don't shineMoving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -
I had to laugh, went out to collect the books i had left notes for just now and there is one house that doesnt look lived and has a note on the door saying no junk mail or newspapers. The curtains are always closed, but you never know do you! Anyway, when i went out on thursday i knocked the door and the neighbour said she wont answer the door to anyway, great i thought, thats a book lost, thought id try my luck and leave a card. Went back today and the lady has stuck the book sticking out of the letterbox, now i am thinking she clearly never leaves the house! As i walk away, i see her writing on the form - she has ORDERED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its only £3, but hey, this is why you never know! I can just imagine now having a little money bag of money being stuck out the letterbox when i deliver lol!C7 - 221.05 :j C8 - 308.07 :j C9 - 250.84 :j C10 - £525.25 :j:j C11 - £467.91 :j C12 - 491.44 :j C13 - £442.09 :j C14 - £357.95 :j0

well done Gloversgirl.
I did the same put books through doors with no junk mail, etc, but all of them either refused to give me my books back or firmly said no thanks to anymore, the only ones that actually order are the ones with no sales rep, please do not knock on my door to sell,etc.0 -
sitting here prepping books while DS takes a nap.
We were supposed to be at a family wedding today but couldn't afford to go and now nobody in the family is talking to us! Hey ho!
Haven't even attempted to sort out my stuff for my tax returns but I really need to as need to let tax credits know. NOT looking forward to sitting and working it all out! I had a spreadsheet but after having problems with my laptops gave up using it, so regretting it now.0 -
Have amended first post to show 100+ uses of SSS Spray.0

Hi there
Great tips everyone and some of your sales are amazing - well done!!!!
Just wondered if anyone has done any charity fundraising through their Avon?? I am doing a walk with my DD for charity and was thinking of putting in with the books a note along the lines of 'During campaigns 10 and 11 10% of all customer orders will be donated to COSMIC' and then a short bit about why we are doing it (and possibly a link to the justgiving site if they want to know more?)
Does this sound like a good idea?? Are there any Avon rules about doing this type of thing? And if anyone has done anything like this any advice about how to word it/a template I could use?
Thanks in advance for any advice and happy avoning!!!0
