Avon Hints and Tips (Part 4)

Hi all,
I had a couple of customers order the Supershock mascara in C7 so decided to treat myself too, as I really needed a waterproof mascara. Anyway I haven't had any feedback from the customers (yet), but mine is definately going back - the reason - um - it definately is NOT waterproof. My kids thought it was hilarious when I emerged from the water at the swimming baths looking like Alice Cooper! It honestly was really bad, it had all run down my face, they were in stitches, I was very embarrassed. I thought all Avon products were supposed to be tested, but there was obviously no water involved in this test!

thanks for your reply. That must be it- she said it contains silicone and glycerine so that sounds like it! I am on C8 brochure. Do you think it's in there? Iwill look again.

it is on page 138, code 11767, in this brochure it is £3.50 but it is buy 1 choose 1 free, so she could get 2 for £3.50, making them only £1.75 each.

The number for the hand cream is 11767 and its on p138 of C8 (£3.50 and BOGOF too!). Its also in C9 p90 @ £1.75.

The normal supershock mascara isn't waterproof but there's a new waterproof version coming out xx

why does it always bucket with rain on my delivery nights?? lol

made loads of mistakes this time with peoples orders but had a crappy week so my mind has not been on avon! Gotta recanvass big style this campaign.. one cos i desperately need the money primarily!!

But also cos ASM emailed me to tell me im currently only £400 behind the lady who is number 1 in my area (for yearly sales to date :shocked: !) Being number 1 for the area was one my personal aims for the year so im excited that its so close Plus this lady is usually in top 1000 in the country so if i beat her i'll be ecstatic!:o:o:o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Suziebean - I'm not sure what the colourstay lipsticks were like as was before my time.. BUT id imagine from the name it was a long lasting lipstick, so maybe recommend your stepmum takes a look at the "perfectwear extralasting lipstick" there are a couple of pink ones that may be close match?

bargainsearcher - Ive not tried the supershock waterproof mascara but i DO use the now discontinued (:( ) superfull waterproof mascara... it was in the online offers of c8 at £3 each i think and is also in HT11 in the clearance bit for £3 each too.. i dont know if its swimproof BUT ive got drenched through (to my underwear!!) tonight doing my deliveries and it hasnt budged despite the rain literally running down my face! I have also done alot of heavy crying wearing this lately and apart from the occassional small smudge if i rub my eyes it doesnt budge! Ive stocked up on it and have about 10 in my personal stock box since its been discontinued! LOL:rotfl:

re accounts - i have been using a simple income/expenditures/invoice payable thing that i started when i was on income support as this was sufficient evidence for the DWP but realised this is not comprehensive enough for me anymore specially as AVONs now my main job, so i have purchased one the yellow "cash" accounts books and plan on doing my accounts weekly in thi this tax year. It cost £11.82 on amazon so basically less than £1 a month, well worth it to make tax return easier! I lost track end of last tax year and im dreading sitting down in next couple of weeks to try and get my accounts since christmas all sorted and up to date for tax credits and my self assessment :o

What a night!

Had my party - 10 people turned up including my Sales Leader! Started off with a game of bingo and had a couple of prizes. Then people started looking through the book and i guided them to a few 'specials'!!!

Everyone was just chatting and asking different q's and most people seemed to be able to recommend something to someone else!

I had a table with stock and clearance and the Necklaces sold best.

i also had a table of samples which worked brilliantly and i sold a couple Outspokens and a few lipsticks too by having them!

Got 2 orders ready for next campaign from the sale book!

All in all a good night with £200 worth of orders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my C8 delivery on tuesday. Started delivering to customers and put out 60 books on Tuesday. yesterday did pick ups and redeliveries with more orders going out and I have included the SSS Bug spray flyer with a product order code on it. Advertisisng really does work.
So far i have picked up £180+ orders in two days. Of which i have 10 orders for SSS bug spray and have sold 4 antler bags as I took it out with me when I was delivering and demo'd at a party last week. Definately works.
