OMG, i am hosting my first party tomorrow night!!!!!! I am doing it in my own house with people i know but am getting mega nervous!
How should i structure it?

Help please!!!!
PS - I also have some SSS items i was gonna do in a raffle or summit, or should i play a game?

I want to recruit reps under me as a few of my customers have made noises that way. I've been told I can't advertise in newspapers etc, but I think it would be okay to put in a flyer inside the catalogues - has anybody else recruited that way? Any other tips?
thanks and by the way, I am loving this thread, it's given me lots of great ideas!0 -
hey any idea what programme that is on? did you just do womething n word? I really need something like this as i have to do mine and OH and it takes hours lol.
I just have microsoft works word processor. But it will work with any word or office programme
Open a new blank document.
Click on file, then drop down to page set up
change the size of your page my measuring the actual order form.
Measure in to your contact and message box at the top of the form and use this for the margins. remember to adjust the size at the top and bottom and the footers at top and bottom too.
Enter some sample text and print it out on a normal sheet of A4 at first. Overlay on an order form to see if you are happy with the layout. Tweak the spacing at this point.
Keep printing out and overlaying until you are happy then drop in your order forms and hit print. Save the document as order template or something and then every camp you can just change the text as you need to.
Easy really, just a faff! I just use the stamp for the back of my brochures now.
Happy days.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Browsing through HT10, I've just noticed something worth drawing attention to!
The new ZENO Acne clearing device is excluded from the normal returns policy and must be returned in its sealed packaging (unless faulty, of course). At that price (£25 introductory), I can't see myself selling any in the first place
And good luck with your party Gloversgirl - never done one, so I can't offer advice!'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

You can advertise in newspapers, but you must use the adverts that Avon have created. This keeps everything above board and no confusion when they call you.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
I've noticed a couple of posts about free stamps from Vistaprint, how do you get them free, do you have to spend a certain amount on other products?Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

lol!
You mention that you have your C10 books and C11 sale flyers. If you are on 10 then would not recommend that you give sale flyers for C11 as you cannot order out of them yet. Customers are less likely to spend in 10 for cheaper sale items that you can pick up sales on when they get them with their 10 delivery.
I always do a raffle, I do a prize worth over £20+ and charge £1 a ticket. Not played any games. But i dont do party's at home as no one seems to have had any success. With your perfume samples, write the name of the fragrance on the back of a piece of card or business card, and place some sample on the card. Easier to see and read, smell then try some on their skin.
Get these out at the begining, as it takes time for a scent to settle on your skin and warm up.
Get as many different products and creams out, beg, borrow and steal to increase your range.
A mirror is a must, as is wet wipes, cotton wool buds, and some make up remover.
Dont forget biros
Drinks and nibbles.
Ask your guests to book a party, a solid booking on the night gets a free gift worth about £5 (costs no more than £2) and she gets a free gift for sales over £x at her party or gets a cut of the commission.
Customer hosted parties really do work for me. But I never sell products on the night, as majority of avon customers like to pay a week or so later (gives them time to save the money and therefore spend more)
Good luck and let us all know how you get on. But most of all, customers are like dogs, they smell fear. Just relax and enjoy yourself.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
I've noticed a couple of posts about free stamps from Vistaprint, how do you get them free, do you have to spend a certain amount on other products?
go to vistaprint.co.uk
on the left hand side you will see a list of headings, one is business stuff for free or the like, hover your mouse over it, another list appears to the right of that one, with a list of all free things you can order.
You can only order 4 free items in one order. No minimum spend. You just pay the postage. The free stamp is the small one, which is ideally sized of order forms and back of books.
Just be careful not to go nuts and spend a load of money. But while you are there, get yourself some free business cards. Even if it only says
Any Name
Your local Avon Representative
Tel. xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx
email (possible)
web (possible)
Give your cards out in delivery bags.
And get a free pen
might as well get a free car magnet as well.
Will cost about £6ish postage for stamp, cards, pen and magnet.
You will then get regular offers for free stuff from them, ive had free post its (personalised) millions of pens, car magnets, business cards, business card magnets (really cool and great for team members or party hostesses), postcards to advertise with or use as flyers, a t shirt. Just sit back, wait for your delivery (3 weeks or less if you pay higher postage) and let the emails roll in.
Happy stamping.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Thanks Lucy. Must be tired tonight, just spent ages looking at the site and never saw the heading Free Products, doh!Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0
