I thought you could only miss 2 campaigns in a row...Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

You can only miss 2 campaigns in a row, ie not place an order at all, before they dormant your account. You can return within 8 campaigns but they will charge you the admin fee again.0

Hi, hope someone can help...
I've been trying to decide whether to carry on with Avon, I'm only doing friends and family and generally get between £78-100 of orders, best has been about £200. I tend to make about £10 each campaign, plus a few freebies and for this, I'm spending 30 mins creating labels to stick on order forms, 60 mins doing the order (by the time I've checked through them and checked if there are any freebies etc I can order) and about 60-90mins (by the time I've got everything cleared up), sorting the order, therefore about 3 hrs work for £10 and some freebies!
I have enjoyed doing it until now (probably 2-3 years now), but with baby no. 2 due in 2 months, I think it would be one thing less to worry about.
I definitely want a break after the next 2 campaigns, but how will this work? Will it matter as I'm just doing friends and family? I'm sure I read somewhere that if you didn't order books Avon would send you some anyway and charge you more...
What if I want to start again after a couple of months, or a year, or decide not to bother anymore?
I know I could do more to make more money from it, but I just haven't got the energy and motivation at the moment.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks!
Totally up to you, obviously, but don't forget that by being a rep you get access to discounted Avon goodies, clearance goods and if your F&F order then you 'earn' too. Wouldn't suggest you go down the road of working out your hourly rate - far too depressing! When it comes down to it, all the prep work is done in your spare time, at home, whilst watching the TV, etc. so don't see why anyone would expect to be paid an hourly rate for that anyway.....
Sounds like a couple of campaigns off may help you recharge your batteries or, if you are only doing F&F why not see if one of your F&F would carry on with your account to give you a short break until you're ready to take it over again? Just a thought.... (Maybe reverting to having to buy your own Avon goodies full price may help focus you on whether it's worthwhile you continuing being a rep.)
PS: Instead of doing labels for your order forms, why not just write your name + tel. no. (sure your F&F know your contact details anyway) on the carbonised order forms and/or get a 'free' ink stamp from Vistaprint? 'Every little helps' and all that.....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I would strongly recommend spending the few pounds on the postage from vista print (ALWAYS carefully check what boxes you tick once near the checkouts! I have never signed up but some have and been stung with a monthly charge for some discount thing which is useless)
I used to spend hours putting my details on the order forms and when I got my stamp I had done it in minutes!

Brochures are £4.86 for the first fifteen, but then it drops to just 48p per pack of five. Not much, especially considering you can use them for two campaigns.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Print my name and address, a greeting message or flag good offers in the brochure and the date of printing.
All I have left to do is pop my order forms in the printer and wayhay!!!
Highlight the leave outside and cash only thing and fill in the date of collection. Even easier and looks very very tidy. Am really impressed!
My delivery was nearly two hours late yesterday. All because of HM Queen! Trust me. But got it done, took out half the delivery and collected £400+ delivered 60 books and picked up an order there and then. Was asked to deliver a book to a lady two streets away as she is gagging for avon and on a vacant patch. Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Got two T3's to do this morning. Then Avatar tonight Yayyyyyyyyy:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
morning ladies... I'm just waiting for my first order to arrive
Our doorbell isn't working so I've just taped a note to the front door asking the delivery driver to knock the door loudly!
Wonder what time it will arrive? Fingers crossed somewhere around 9am would be perfect.
Good news Lozza, fingers crossed the lady / gent signs up with you this morning, your hard work paid off.0 -
My order has just arrived
Now I all I need to do is check its all here0 -
Sort out the smallest or most obvious orders first (ie those with things like flip flops or clothing only) then work on to the larger ones. That way you have less to rummage through when you get to the larger orders.
Check items against your invoice as you fill each order.
Have the relevant brochures to hand as you can spend hours looking for the wrong thing
If you can't find an item, don't spend ages looking but put that order to one side - you're bound to come across the item by accident sooner or later.
When ticking off the invoice, in the case of multiple items, tick once for each one found then cross out the number when you've found the lot.
