My area sales rep is coming round on Wednesday to show me how to do my first internet order and give me my account number. So I'm just deciding which samples to buy.

Which ones do you think give you the best value for money?

Depends on how much you want to spend. You really should budget for spend on samples. I tell all my new reps to do this.

In your first two orders, you qualify for buying the demo bag at £10 for which you are invoiced £5 with your second order and £5 with your third order. It does come with 50 samples in it and the bag is handy and gives you a professional look. Handy for keeping your bits in too.

Personally, fragrances i order every time. People do like to try them on their skin before they buy. Skincare does do well, but is pricey when you are starting out. My new starter kit contained a good mix of everything.

Good luck and keep loving avon. We all do.

Hi Fiver,I tend to say to people, don't buy too many samples to start with, as you will get some free, but I meant to order the new Fergie ones hoping to attract new customers to buy the perfume and I forgot!

I have to put in an additional order as couldn't get to all my customers before putting my order in so am going to order with that.

Well have been made permanent in my job but am still struggling money wise, so really need to earn more from somewhere.

I had a meeting with my Manager and Director today to discuss my placement and if I was happy and they were happy to make it permanent. Considering I worked my blooming socks off, if they had said no, I would have questioned them and I was only getting paid expenses!

Anyhow, so busy working, and trying to catch up with life when not working, have given up on my team, as have lost the one with her own beauty salon, another wants to leave if she doesn't make any sales at work. My Director today made a suggestion to me that may enable me to recruit more Reps :) and through work, and it is with her agreement! She said I would be helping her if it works and at the same time she would be helping me. So maybe there is hope yet!

Thanks Lucy, I haven't noticed the demo bag, I'll ask my rep about it when she comes round, because that sounds like good value. :)

    Hello All,

hope you don't mind me joining you all?

Found this by accident and wished i discovered you all last year when i started. Have been a rep since C12-09 and just plodded along topping up my income to pay for clubs/music & dance leasons for my girlies plus pay off some debt. Haven't done to badly earning £20 commision every 3 weeks but support from the then ASM was lacking. New ASM has started and i have taken the leap to be SL, in 2 weeks i have managed to sign up 5 reps.

Is there a thread where we can inform others that we are SL and the area that we cover, as am looking at all advertising/lead generating options at the mo. I have signed up to flissys.com but have yet to have account approved, and i do prospect in local town centre but wish to widen the net.

Thanks for listening and hope C9 is a great campaign for you all

Have a look at all the flyers she gave you in your start up pack. It is in there. Double sided, one side is the Reps bag for £15, not that one.

On the other side is the starter pack with the bag. The bag is really really nice actually, so nice, a friend of mine pinched it as a make up bag for herself when I got my SL business bag. (im getting the reps bag for free in 6 weeks anyway as I have sold over £1500 in my first three orders, never mind 6)

Just incase 69401 is the product order code for it. Good luck and keep coming back to keep us posted. :j:j:j:j

Hello and welcome. It is a really friendly bunch on here and always happy to help wherever we can. Ive not been with Avon very long, but others have been for quite some time so somebody can usually help.

have you tried the SL forum on the Avon website. its only for SL and many of them post a thread with their area number on it, looking to buddy up.

Ask the ASM to put you in touch with other SL in the division. Ask your asm if you can tag along when they go out prospecting. I go out weekly with mine and it always helps. also keeps in touch and builds a really good rapport with asm. Mine helps by giving me loads of flyers and other bits n pieces.

Congratulations on your first 5, hope that you get another 5 just as quickly. If you felt that you were left on your todd by your asm, then look after your reps the way that you wished you had been cared for. you stand a better chance of retention that way.

My asm did a ring round to my team last camp and got great feedback about me from each of them.

Well done you and hope to see much more of you here and possibly on Avon forum too.
