    Hi... me again!

As its my first delivery I'm unsure whether to just go around to the customers homes and hope they're in and have the money or should I put a note through the door and go back tomorrow??

What does everyone else do? I know there are a few in as I can see from my window (no I'm not a stalker :rotfl:).

Gingernights I'm a newbie so not able to give you any advice although I'd be interested in the avons friend forum is it on here somewhere or separate to this one?

    Hi,
Just wondered if any s/l's could give me any advice on recruiting new reps.

What has worked best for you?
Have you had any success advertising in the local paper etc.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

Completely personal preference - some reps pop round, if noones in leaves a calling card to get delivery rearranged....others ring/text/email to check whens best to deliver....what I do, is a few days before I'm delivering, give everyone a note with the day & time I'm delivering (eg Thursday 6-8pm) and reminding them of the amount due, and giving my contact details if they need to rearrange. I find it easier that way with working shifts and my customers know when to expect me.

Everyone has their own system, you just need to find one that works for you and your customers x

I've never done a newspaper ad - too expensive for no guaranteed result.

Deliver leaflets everywhere, do expired brochure drops (ask local asms - doesn't need to be your own asm for vacant territory), have info in with your brochures for your customers. If you aren't already a member of flissys, I'd recommend you join there - you can buy leads, though admittedly I've only managed to get one from there this year! - but there are some lovely people on there who have been doing this for years & years so can give some great advice on everything x

There are some delivery slips which can be downloaded and printed out from the Avon website. I think if you are at the home page, scroll all the down to the bottom of the page, in very small writing accross the bottom it says downloads. Then look for customer messages. Pretty sure its in there. There are a few which are quite useful. I still use them for my customers. I take them out on a monday, i get delivery on tues, usually deliver wed and thurs.

It also gives you the opportunity to ask for exact change where possible, but do get some small change together and some £1 coins and a couple of fivers as a float. Just makes things a lot easier, get more delivered that way, saves going back.

Happy delivery. dont forget your new books. They do like a new book with their delivery, plan their next purchases :)

Have to agree about the stamp. Although have discovered on Monday if i Faff about long enough on my word processor programme, I can design a template for the order forms.
Print my name and address, a greeting message or flag good offers in the brochure and the date of printing.
All I have left to do is pop my order forms in the printer and wayhay!!!

Highlight the leave outside and cash only thing and fill in the date of collection. Even easier and looks very very tidy. Am really impressed!

My delivery was nearly two hours late yesterday. All because of HM Queen! Trust me. But got it done, took out half the delivery and collected £400+ delivered 60 books and picked up an order there and then. Was asked to deliver a book to a lady two streets away as she is gagging for avon and on a vacant patch. Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Got two T3's to do this morning. Then Avatar tonight Yayyyyyyyyy

hey any idea what programme that is on? did you just do womething n word? I really need something like this as i have to do mine and OH and it takes hours lol.

    thanks lauren

At least I found out today what happened with the mix up over the areas. The area rep said the woman who phoned me has been doing Avon for about 5 years and has gradually expanded her area, but she doesn't canvas whole streets just cherry picks certain houses that she knows place orders. The area rep said she's got houses dotted all over, so to just carry on doing the area she gave me originally and hope for the best.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao
