  • It's funny you guys talking about your SLs or what you can do as SLs to help your team, I've not heard from mine since I signed up :(

Does anyone have a pair of the party slippers in a 6/7 they would exchange for a size of 4/5 opened and tried on but not worn pair? If not do you think Avon would exchange the pair I got in HT last time even though they are open?

    Hi K

you should be able to send them back for an immediate replacement, just tell Avo you want the 4/5 size as 6/7 is too big. shouldn't be a problem.
  • Hi all,

Is it just me or does anyone find that the Avon delivery boxes are a nightmare for returns? They are difficult to seal without putting another bit of card where the hole was or they just give way! I have been sending my returns in nappy boxes, crisp boxes etc and the courier agreed that the Avon boxes are awful! Not to mention the state of some orders - in my last one a 75ml bottle of aftershave had completely leaked all over the rest of the order - my kitchen smelt for a week after - just as well my hubby doesn't think I've got a fancy man!

Awaiting my Campaign 7 delivery tomorrow - £275 sales - from what I can see on here Campaign 9 is not so good so think I will re-canvass using Campaign 8 books. My son starts Nursery on Tuesday so will have the mornings free to deliver and collect brochures - hope the weather stays fine!

League tables are a waste of time, as long as you do your canvassing to the best of your ability and get all your orders in on time and keep your customers happy then that's all that counts IMO

purple chocolate, what someone suggested on this thread before, open your avon box upside down, this way you save the seal on top of the box, and you can easily seal the bottom of the box.

for returns what i do now is use 2 avon boxes..... i always open them upside down so i can fold the flaps back in anyway.. them new "access" holes are stupid!! To do returns i jam 2 boxes together in opposite directions i.e. open your box upside down on delivery day then once youve put your returns in it put a 2nd avon box upside down inside it (so the bit with the access hole forms a kind of "lid" then close the flaps over top of this and seal with lots of brown tape!. makes them really sturdy and less likely things will fall out on their way back to avon. :) Plus person opening them can slice the tape open and pop out the access hole of inside box to get into the returns so everyones happy :)

Thanks guys will probably give it a miss then.

Nah lucyclare I'll be deliverying the books to them so don't want to be out of pocket for the books as well as petrol even my most local reps will cost be a couple of quid in petrol to drive to. Would only be a couple of quid per campaign but over the year it will add up.

It varies from campaign to campaign - I just generally send them some ideas for increasing sales / getting new customers, suggesting they ask their customers to "refer a friend" and give them a free gift, free gifts for orders over x amount etc etc. If avon is running an incentive I remind them about that (though I haven't bothered for the current one, I mean who wants to win cutlery!!! I chucked our leaflets straight in the bin, after laughing at them).

I usually attach a document as well - but they are all listed on flissys, in the document library so if you have a look on there you can download them.

Precisely :D Some of the books I'm getting back from her will be practically expired (C6 books) but at least I've got them back and can make some use of them! Figured as well, towards the end of each campaign (when theres about a week and a half left), I'm going to have a count up of how many brochures I have from the previous campaign, and text all the local-ish reps I have offering them at £2 per 20 books, so they can use them for recanvassing. Guessing not a lot will take it up - but if it helps them to cover territory again, it will help their sales, and so in turn help me!

Thought as well - each campaign I email all my reps with hints/tips - but thought I might put a top 5 of who had the highest sales in the previous campaign, would only put their first name & initial, ie Laura P etc, but would people like seeing how they are doing in comparison to other people??? Any feedback welcome! :)

Well I was going to ask my SL if she had any spare C7 books towards the end of next campaign, as I will be short again and have got my territory customers on back campaign. I am happy to pay £2 for 20, and gives me the opportunity to ask questions if there's stuff I'm unsure of too!;)

With regards to the league tables, I would LOVE this. Find them really motivating as it pushes you to do better and gives you something to aim for. I guess I'm used to them working in a sales environment though, can understand some people might not be a fan. :)
