hey LOZZA...luckily i didnt have to pay anything up front...i think they were just concerned that it might not have been me, as there was a lot of the same products ordered (5 of this, 5 of taht etc) but once i explained what it was they were fine about it, guess it was just to prevent fraud :)

yeah my big orderer actually told me she had just moved house recently and hadnt hada rep and she loves avon. I know she wouldnt want to become a rep, i checked and she says shes too busy she is a single mum to 3 sets of twins and works 2 jobs..twins are 16,15 and 9. and from what shes ordered im guessing the oldest twins are girls :) so im sure i will get plenty of good orders, she did say she places big orders i just didnt think THAT big lol.

Thought as well - each campaign I email all my reps with hints/tips - but thought I might put a top 5 of who had the highest sales in the previous campaign, would only put their first name & initial, ie Laura P etc, but would people like seeing how they are doing in comparison to other people??? Any feedback welcome! :)

I'm not a SL, just a humble rep, however I would be really depressed if I was bottom of your list and it may well demotivate me rather than inspire. But of course, different folks may see it differently...

text all the local-ish reps I have offering them at £2 per 20 books, so they can use them for recanvassing. Guessing not a lot will take it up - but if it helps them to cover territory again, it will help their sales, and so in turn help me!

Thought as well - each campaign I email all my reps with hints/tips - but thought I might put a top 5 of who had the highest sales in the previous campaign, would only put their first name & initial, ie Laura P etc, but would people like seeing how they are doing in comparison to other people??? maybe if they are the previous issue books, charge half that amount. better to get some cash for them than nothing?

As for league tables, my asm has issued all reps with her top 30 and top50. I was top of the league for C7 which is nice, but i know that to stay at the top i have to keep working very hard. I have a sales background and one from customer service, so i am happy to achieve targets, either my own or ones set for me.

I appreciate its not for everyone, but isnt the point that we all help each other.

I have a new rep on her second order. i called her today to see how she was doing (she really struggled with her first, i told her to stick with it, it would get better) and she told me that she put her books out on wed and has £180 of sales in already. she says that it does get better, some people thought that she would quit after first go.

So i do think that it can be a motivator for some, but as long as we keep helping those that need, the avon love and avon family keeps getting stronger.

ask your reps what they think. offer them the choice of being included. the incentive of a goody bag or prize should help them. perhaps sales over £350 etc as that gives you the 5% commission on their sales.

You could do two or three leagues. those hitting above mov those hitting hov and those hitting 350 or higher.

spreads it out, makes it more comfortable to those who maybe only do f+f

My ASM does a top 30. I have enjoyed seeing my name in the list. Doing a top 5 (or whatever is relevant as your team grows) would give people something to aim for without demotivating those outside of the top 5 as they wouldn't know how far off the pace they are. May be worth doing a slightly different top 5 each campaign so that different people get into the list, eg top sales this campaign, top sales cumulative year-to-date, biggest increase on previous campaign/year, most of product X sold, ...
    C5 £202 :); C6£541 :j; C7 £502; C8 £379; C9 £379

hmm Lozza. My SL occasionally emails us - she just says things like well done team on getting your sales in, or well done for having high sales.

She doesn't name names, although with the new incentive thing, she did encourage us to read it, and I could see in comparison to the rest of her team where I was, but that was shortlived. At that time I was doing better than them but not anymore.

I tried giving two of my highest earners a small gift as a thankyou. One defaulted and absconded with the money from the customers and the other just carries on as normal. So don't think the incentive will make much difference.

Maybe just a line to say thank you for all your hard work, keep it up and if you need any help at any time, feel free to ask - sort of thing?

I think you do well with your team already - you send them a monthly newsletter with useful hints and tips. That sort of thing would be good for me and I would really appreciate it if my SL did that.

My next problem, i can't order 29960? its page 124 of book7, and in book 6 i've found it, same price but it says 29660.
its oxygenating scalp treatment by adv.tech if this helps another rep. same price in both books.
