After two alleged parking contravention enforcement notices from Civil Enforcement Ltd, followed by three chase-up letters from Newlyn (they are now demanding £240), I have just received a further letter from Newlyn, addressed to 'The Occupier', saying they have been instructed to trace the previous occupier of the property (I'm still here!), and asking for information, eg. date of moving in, council tax ref no, if property is purchased and if so, name/address of Solicitor, or if rented name/address of Landlord, and if forwarding address of previous occupant is known. I guess I just ignore this one too?0

I was trying to click on some of the links at the top, but I get an error message from photobucket instead. Can anyone help?0

I think some of those links are out-of-date and need looking at.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Oh yes, keep ignoring! This would appear to be relatively new tactic and might just be speculative last punt and be based on the principal that you might have moved but it does seem a difficult one to work out!
Did you at any point return any of their letters as 'return to sender' at any point?0 -
No, I've kept them all in case I needed to consult a solicitor. I'm a bit worried as I've just received an application to update the photo on my driving licence (supposed to every 10 years). This will confirm I am still at the address, and perhaps Newlyn can access this info?:think:0

So what? Don't forget that Newlyn are just a private company. They are not the police or the council, and they don't have anymore powers than you or IWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

I should add that the original 'parking contravention' allegation, had a photo of my car leaving the car park, and they say they have further photographic evidence. You cannot make out who is driving in the photo, but I'm not sure how good these cameras are.0
