I got the flexi bank job, so hoping to get in some work and earn some extra money too. Had to buy a birthday present for a freind for monday. I was on budget (25) with that. So all in all a good job. I am finding this very theraputic on the spending but its not working on the eating !!!. But thats me, I want everything NOW
Thankyou0 -
Hi EatandSpend,
I seen the counsellor through work, didn't even know one existed til a colleague told me about it. I found it really helped me, helped me deal with something from the past and stuff that was happening at the time. Just talking to someone who I didn't know and who wasn't judging me was great, not saying family and friends don't listen but I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I knew. Hope you speak to your doctor, or even enquire through work incase they have someone. Good luck x0 -
Hi - with regard to cooking for one, on your day off you could cook something like a pot of chilli or spag bol and split into portions in sandwich bags and freeze, then when you don't feel like cooking just shove it in the micro and have with some rice/spaghetti or a jacket spud.
As for willpower, I know exactly what your saying, that's my biggest downfall - but my debt free diary on here is helping a lot - its helping me keep myself in check. I also keep checking my snowball and see how £50 less would effect it and when it adds on another month of repaying debts it soon stops the urge to spend!
Good luck with it, I'm sure its just a blip.0 -

Hiya everyone, Ive been missing for quite a while, and been a bit naughty !!!
Spending - All bills and debtpayment met, but wasted the left over money !!!
Eating - So so - -7lb but its off and on off and on, eat then dont. So not good really.
And the other isssue - A big temptation has come my way. Bumped into my very first real boyfriend 2 weeks ago. I was 13 yr old went out with him fo two year, loved him very much (if thats what it is at that age ?). It never went away, we have waved at each other on passing or bipped car horns over a period of 38yr. Well i came face to face with him 2 weeks ago. He is unhappily married and has given me his mobile no. I have not done anything about and did not give him mine. But the pull to ontact him is immense !!!!!!!!!!!.
I know what I should do but OMG ITS MEGGA HARD
Went to the doctor, told him all about my issues, he will refer me to see someone but told me waiting list is very long and i could wait up to a year !!!!! Thinking of trying to find someone private ? but this will not come cheap, but cant wait a year either.
Thankyou0 -

Hello you! Glad to hear you are still with us.
OK, you know I've been honest with you about the stuff I did (very rarely still do) so this is going to be a bit of a hard one.... sorry in advance, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. You are doing so well on the shopping and the food, and this one is easily assessed.
Big question time! Can you be sure that you could call him and not want to get up to naughties? If you aren't sure that you could resist, then delete the number. No further problems. Don't take it again.
Think about why you liked him when you were young - try to implement those things in your current life, rather than harking back to someone who has thoroughly moved on with his life too, and probably bears no more resemblance to his teenage self than you do.
Sorry, but to also bring it down to the realities, if I had a pound for every man who claimed that he was 'unhappily married' I could pay off my mortgage. It's up there with 'my wife doesn't understand me' or 'It's OK, we have an open marriage' for setting off my b*llshit radar. If he is unhappy, he should make the break and free his wife up to meet someone who will love her properly.
Alternatively, if you are absolutely sure that your knickers will remain in situ, then go for coffee, chat about old times and laugh your backside off at pictures of the dress sense and hairstyles of the time..... just remember, neither of you are kids anymore, and you can't recapture the innocence you had back then. You can't go back to holding hands.
Be strong - remember your lovely man, and think about whether or not it is worth risking him for your ex.
Good luck, and I hope I've not been too harsh! Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Hiya BB, thanks for your Fab reply. No you not been harsh at all. Its no good skirting the issues. Thats why I am on here. In all honesty, I dont think its the the actualy "him and passed love" thing. If it was I could have sought him out. I think its my "male attraction" problem. I have been thiking of my life now, my DH and my family and what trouble this would cause. Delete is the best option, then the temptation is out of the way. I just wish I could come to terms with these three issues and move on. Its so waring, thinking no dont eat that, no dont spend that no dont do that. I know its not going to be and easy journey and did not expect it to be. I realize that all three issues are inter-linked. If I could just get a handle on one, the rest may be easier to focus on too.
Thanks again to all on this site that help me with words of support. Right nice sunny day here, so going to make a coffee, put the fountain on in the garden (its only a little one) and enjoy all the new life coming through in my garden and have a talk to myself.
Thankyou x0 -
P.s. BB to be honest, i don't think things would stay "intact". I so sooo want to do it, but............. the consequences are immense too. Ive held of this long, so I'm at least thinking about the situation. Not good some people may say, it should not be even up for debate. The bonus for me is I haven't gone ahead with it. So using my head at least.0

mobile number DELETED :j.
I need to control myself today. Its a typical, waste money and eat day. Got the whole day free, and £15 in my purse, only need to buy a couple of odd things to go with tea and a birthday card.
Wish me luck, Enjoyed my time in the garden yesterday, comtemplated my life ahead. I do not want to live the rest of it, with my mind in a termoil, doubting myself all of the time. Today is cold and damp
, so no plans
Thankyou0
