  • Heya, I know this is a while since your original post but just wanted to say you're not alone! Alot women are also guilty of all 3, so don't feel too bad because everyone does at least 1, if not 2 or 3 of those things!

I've found that getting one area under control (my spending) really helped me with my weight. I was thinking more about what I spend in the supermarket, and so had more thinking time to contemplate healthier choices. And it stopped me spending on clothes cos I kept thinking 'but I'm going to lose weight and get down to a different size so it would be a waste'.

I'd recommend doing some of the challenges on here, like the no spend day (NSD) or weekly spend challenge, to get a feel for getting your spending under control.

Also try the DFW weight loss thread - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2178109&page=2

Like others have said, try eBay. I get such a thrill now from selling on eBay - it's better than the thrill from spending! But it also focuses my mind on not buying things I'll never wear, because I see the price I originally paid for the item and it rarely goes for that much on eBay so it reminds me to only buy things that I'll use/wear.

Hiya, I am still here 3rd day of having my 2yr old grandchild, she is going home today, I am glad to say. Hope that does not come over as sounding bad. She just has me on the go all the time. No me time.

Eating and spending so so ! Could have done a lot better on both counts, but I have not gone overboard. Bill money is still intact :j.

I will catch up with everyones posts and threads tonight

    Thankyou :A

Hey EatandSpend, I can relate too, have had all those issues and I finally figured out when and why they started, seen a councillor and feel so much better for it, she didn't do anything, just listened when I couldn't tell others. Keep up the good work!

  • I do work full time but work nights on a 40n and 4off basis. What is not helping me is the fact that I have lots and lots of free time on my hand.

Soooooo to day I have and Interview at 10 AM for flexi bank work, so that I can work it around my full time job. Hoping it keeps me busy and the added bonus of extra cash. :j
Trouble in interview is "in town" resist resist, I must.

    Thankyou :A
