I think most people who have had theirs go through are waiting on an email, neither myself of my hubby have had one yet...

    My account now says

<LI class=order-list-number>Deal successfull, the vouchercode has been sent by email.
However, didn't it say that it would be sent in the post...?! Hmm...nothing to my email address yet either...

    Fine Print

    • This offer is strictly restricted to one voucher per person - MULTIPLE TRANSACTIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED
    • Voucher will NOT arrive via email, it will arrive in the post 7 working days after deal closes
    • Vouchers are valid until Sunday 25th April 2010

my guess is that prehaps other vouchers are normally e-mailed so it's just a misprint in the deal status print & (fingers crossed ) you'll get your voucher through the post :)

I'm not sure what to think about this company. I've ordered 2 lots of Costa cards, 2 lots of Wagamama cards and now 2 lots of Cineworld tickets and have yet to receive anything. They have taken money from my a/c for the first two. I rang them today and they said they should be refunding for the Costa but I should received the Wagama cards. They are going to look into further and ring me again tomorrow. I won't be buying anything else until all the above are solved.

I've just received the following message...

    Dear XXXXX

On the 10.03.2010 10:04 you bid on the "Pay £1 to watch ANY film at Cineworld up to the value of £12 - including 3D showings!" mycitydeal. Unfortunately an error occurred during attempt to withdraw the sum of £1. Therefore we have to cancel the following order.

I phoned my card company who have said that they authorised all the £1 payments made this morning.

So now I am confused and to make things worse the offer has finished.:mad:

All of my paypal transactions have gone through fine, checked all family memebers 'mycitydeal' accounts and all now showing as completed .

I do think that the failed transactions are to do with overzealous fraud procedures put in place by banks. I dont think it was a scam at all.
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

Same here. Wife and me purchased just after midnight and have now received the message about cancelling my order. Checked with credit card company and they approved both payments. They told me keep an eye on my cc account as the transactions could still go through.

Noticed on regular refreshing the mycitydeal website in the early hours of this morning that the number of cineworld tickets bought repeatedly went up and then went down again. Something odd there?

Difficult to understand why people are having their purchases cancelled even though the credit card companies approve the payments.

Seem to recall reading something about mycitydeal wanting to build up a large database of users as the reason for making the cineworld offer. If that's the case they seem to have succeeded!

Yeah - I did think that too...will have to wait and see!

I paid by paypal - I wonder if this is a common theme? A few people have mentioned over-zealous banking systems? Prehaps those with Paypal have gone through...

Of course...it could be a backhanded way of deleting the offer having realised they sold too many...
