Well the trees that 'might' work didnt they were hideous haha back to the drawing board it is (or down the woods!) i've heard that covent garden flower stall does them and by chance I'm off to London on Friday so who knows maybe I will manage something then.....

Our plans are a bit slow at the min with one thing and another, namely our house extension which is driving me nuts. I have a full bathroom in the living room and no bedroom - it's all good fun.... Must get back on track and think of ideas for invites.

my planning also seems to have slowed down a bit, me and oh are both busy with working and with the weather being a bit better we have been out an about a lot more.
the other day i bought my shoes from the next outlet store for £6.00 and today i bought a flat pack post box to decorate for cards to go in for 5.99 from a local party shop.
Things still on my to do list include:
    deciding on men's clothing
shopping for my 2 bridesmaids outfits and my daughters outfit
finding something to go in the vases for my centerpieces
doing all the stationary for the day, place cards, menus, table plan etc. - can't do any of this though until i have the rsvps back and i'm not sending invites till august! So in the mentime i will work out how i want them so nearer the time i can just get on and get them made.

We're off to give notice this afternoon, not sure why i'm so excited about it! I guess it's just another one of those little things that makes it all feel more real :)
Not really got much else to report really, Mil2b is busy doing our day and evening invites for us, they are going out end of august so wanted to give her plenty of time so as to not feel pressurised. How's everyone else getting on?

Me again, I bet i'm boring you all now! We went and gave notice on friday as planned it was very easy, I gave mine and oh's details and then he had to give his and mine. We didn't have to go in seperately they just did us both together, we paid the fee 33.50 each and that was it, we have to go back in a few weeks to pick the notices up to send to the registrars who will be doing the ceremony as its a different district to where we live. Today in the post i got confirmation of it all and the booklet to choose the ceremony details so i'm going to get that decided on over the next few weeks and get it sent back with the final fee to get it out of the way. so in total for the whole marriage part of the day it has come to a grand total of £362. Just got the reception to save up and pay for now :)

    How's everyone's planning going?

I think i'm doing too much too soon! Guess i won't be regretting it though nearer the time :)
The last couple of weeks i have got 2 bridesmaids dresses (new with tags from ebay), a dress for my little girl (again ebay), Artificial pom pom flowers, carnations, grass, diamante florist pins, pearl beads and organza ribbon for my centerpieces ( ebay again! can you see a theme here!) I have got our wedding rings, and i got a notebook from wilkinsons with cream plain paper inside which i am going to cover and use as a guest book.
I have got so much from ebay mainly because i have been filling up the paypal account selling odds and ends from around the house and i didn't want to transfer the money out and waste it so i have been buying wedding things with it! as i buy stuff i just sell a bit more and it seems to be working well. Once i have finished buying everything i will continue selling my unwanted things from round the house and then a couple of weeks before our final bill is due i will transfer it out to put towards that.
Hope everyone is getting things done too and having as much fun wedding planning as i am!

    hey

    forgot about this thread lol

i have changed reception venue although instead of losing the deposit we have transfered to another event (parents's birthday are big ones this year) so not to upset.

bought another dress as the one i have would need a corset put in but bought this one in a size 12 as i'm a 14 at the moment so that easy weight to lose.

bought everything for it, bought my bridesmaids dresses although they are gonna have to be taken in as they are miles to big on me and i'm the largest in the group.

my bouquets are being made still looking lovely though :)tumblr_l1a3yywKUH1qbq67jo1_400.jpg

    HI everyone

Just wondering on how everyones planning for their Dec weddings are going

Just started to look round at dresses and Im totally undecided at what kind of dress i want. I orginally wanted a 50's inspired dress, tea length like this http://honeypieboutique.co.uk/ourshop/prod_651061-Marilyn.html but now ive started looking at all the different styles on monsoon, coast etc i think i may have confused myself and now im not sure what i want. I dont really want a full traditional wedding dress as were getting wed in New York at the city hall.

Cant even decide on a cake at the moment xx
