maybe just forget about the wedding for now, until youvesettled in your new home then you can start preparing again
you dont want it to be a stressful thing thats dragging you down, you sould be having fun
you will find a venue which will let you do what you want you just have to keep looking
keep chatting about what you want here then when the times right well help you x

louba always start what you need him to do with 'do YOU think this could be done like this'
rather than 'do what I say now'
that way he thinks hes done what he and you want
if he comes back with 'no i think it should be done like this' youll have to do one of two things
1) go along cos its a better idea
or
2) stamp your feet and declare 'if you loved me youd do it like this'
it usually works, if not hes just not worth marrying lol

Lexxi - wow that must be so stressful! You are more than welcome to bend my ear whenever you want! I dont have many people to talk to about the wedding - but mainly as my OH is fanatic about keeping everything a surprise. Im all for that but its getting hard to keep it all in - do you know what I mean? x

See thats what I thought - so mentioned it in passing last night and he hit the roof! doesnt understand why I would want to tell eveyone? he doesnt get it - yes its exciting but just keeping it between the two of us is great by why cant I tell strangers (as in you lot)??! :mad:

Aww its a nice idea keeping it a surprise but sometimes its good to talk too. I don't think men really get that women like and need to talk about stuff - it's a form of stress relief Ohh and I find it really hard to keep secrets where nice news is involved! I'm sure he'll calm down. My OH doesn't really understand why I would want to talk to people I haven't met online, I think he thought I was telling people things I couldn't tell him and felt a bit threatened - so he read some posts, realised that they weren't remotley racey and now he just ignores it! Good luck x

I'm not sure that's possible, since my OH really doesn't like her (there was an incident early on in our relationship and he's justified in his dislike).

it goes to show how much times have changed, we used to have friends for life, no its just seems its for a bit
what about communicating with your friend in london by email or using a cheap telephone service?

we dont get them they dont get us, its the whole venus and mars thing
let him get on with not telling people, you shrug your shoulders and say well i think its not on you wont let me tell people in this virtual world, im excited and proud of our ideas for our big day and am bursting to share them, id never share them with the guests and if i share them on here no ones going to find out!!

Exactly! Its not like im telling friends and family and as a result I want to share it with all of you lot :-)

Ive no idea why he doesnt like it - as I pointed out, he looks for ideas on the internet - this is no different! He then went off on one saying that the forum is taking over my life?! Ummmm no - im only on here really in the day while im at work and dot venture on much evenings and weekends. Im not sure why he went off on one? maybe its the stress of the venue choices we are going through with my dad.

My argument is that you share ideas on here and get ideas also, he said - you dont want to tell everyone our ideas and then everyone start doing it. However our ideas are not that original!! :mad:
