Hi everyone - I am struggling with flowers and florists too. How did you find yours ? I have been to a couple in high street shops but wondered if there is a cheaper option other then making own or silk flowers ? I am thinking spring flowers now - tulips, anemones etc as they will be in season and cheaper - with some roses. Some days I just cant get motivated to do stuff !!We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T0

I'm really having a dilemma thinking about maid of honour. She's one of my main decisions and the earlier I make it, the sooner I have someone to talk wedding with. But, I have no idea who. I have a few close friends but they all live far away and my best friend we've become so distant in the past couple of years. How do you choose when it's not a simple choice? No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

how many bridesmaids are you having? Maybe just ask all of them to help and not have a specific maid of honour? I will probs have my sis and my oldest friend and not really choose between them, they get on well so it'll be easy for them both to help!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

Hi everyone... just wanted to come on and say... its 99 days till our wedding!!!! Woooo:money:Trying to get debt-free:money:0

hi gemmzie :wave:i had that dilemma too, not having one closest friend or any that close for that matter as weve all unfortunately drifted apart, my hubby2b is my best friend now(dont know if a wanna smile or cry lol)
anyway i chose in the end the one who will help me the most, tell me if something wont work, but listen to my opinion and whos had her own wedding
ive got another friend who has got married but shed just tell me what to do, think ive got a bottomless pit of money and presume only the most expensive/ lavish will do!
hi raspabarbas(where did you get that name? lol)princess, and jj:wave:
florists? hmm have you looked online?
i had a quick look for mothers day bouquets
maybe you could choose the cheapest, nicest online but make sure theyre close so you can actually go and view them
i will have a bouquet, hopefully a flower girl, they will look soooo cute but i dont know/have any little girls:( girls but thatl be it, i wont bother with decorations
i might not even do centrepieces, they just seem a waste of money and hopefully the venue will be pretty enough
i'd have to give them away or i could use something that i will need so i can keep it
errrr toilet roll towers anyone? lol
hi dont quit:wave:
whats your budget for the shirts and that?
matalan have some really nice things, you could find your stuff there tooI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -

I tell her that she gave birth to me and she should know i have never been normal.
Im having a crystal bouquest my bridesmaids have little baskets, the button holes are crystal, and im not having flowers as centerpieces either. Im not really keen on flowers myself, i like the odd bunch from the kids and there pretty to look at, but there just not that important to me.
All our guests are travelling so if i did get flowers i couldnt give them away as they would struggle to take them home. It just makes sense to me to have something else.
I'm not having flowers either, its an expense I'd rather not shell out for something that dies within a few days.trying to become a moneysaving student0 -
I'm having flowers, the day after our wedding we're taking them to leave at the crematorium garden of rememberance where my parents' ashes are scattered.0

I wasnt too bothered about having flowers either, we were gonna have silk if at all and my dad basically said... " no daughter of mine is having fake flowers at her wedding" Soooo hes paying for them! Hooray! I do love flowers i just didnt think they were an expense i could have justified. Luckily his friend grows plants for a living and hes giving us lots of free potted plants for entrances and hallways etc to make everything look really lush and green.
I'm having awful wedding nightmares at the minute and the wedding is still 15 months away! Imagine what im going to be like nearer the time! Its mainly about things i havent planned yet... like its the wedding morning and all i have is my dress and headress (things ive already bought) and no shoes or flowers or veil (things i havent sorted yet!)
Is anyone else having these?? Its really making me stress out.
On top of everything else we're 5 weeks into buying our first house aswell. Im suffering terribly with insomnia. My mind just races and wont shut down! Arghhh! And im starting a new job next week, my stress levels are through the roof this week! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Aww Picklepick (((hugs))) Could you try making a list before you go to bed, eiethr whats on your mind or a to do list for the next day/week. I find it helps clear the head to help sleep, or body shop do a really nice pillow mist in lavender and something to help sleep.
I am now having a backwards wedding, with one thing and another we are well into double figures with our house moves over the past 2 years so I have shoes, colour scheme, centre pieces, stationary bits and pieces I'm just going to get everything organised then see where I am and what's prettiest with a wedding licence after I have everything :rotfl:Either that or it's the chrch my parents got married in
!!!!!!, I've still not done any thank you notes for tomorrow, anyone knows what paper is a nice looking paper, not standard printing paper. Everyone who came to the engagement is over near to my mum so she's going to hand deliver them, she can take the thank you prezzies too as friends and family did the buffet0
