Thanks Lexxi, I occassionally make lists of things to do and it probably does help so I shall try doing that. H2B has got me some Kalms to help me sleep better and they also work a treat when i remember to take them!!

Re. paper.... I like the linen paper from hobbycraft. You can handwrite on it, or you can put it in the printer aswell.

    Hi Bubbles!
My H2B coined the name when we were talking about pirates. I was scritching at his beard getting rid of loose hairs when he told me 'your pirate name should be La Pirata Raspabarbas. Now salpica!' (get off me). It just means scratchy-beard.

I have two florists to choose from, one who does the flowers at the venue normally and one who works with the guy we're getting some potted palms from. Both great, both enthusiastic, can't decide!

how many bridesmaids are you having? Maybe just ask all of them to help and not have a specific maid of honour? I will probs have my sis and my oldest friend and not really choose between them, they get on well so it'll be easy for them both to help!

I have no idea! Potentially, four but none of them are local enough to help.

And i refuse to put my life on hold for a year while she swans about and we haven't annouced it yet so its not going to look good when we do!!

I replanned the whole wedding last night, shrunk it so we could have the reception in the huge garden that comes with the new house only for the estate agent to tell us it's been taken off the market this morning. I'm starting to wonder if it's fate. The agent has offered us a short term let until something better becomes available, means we'll be moving 3 times in 6 months. I'm starting to feel the wedding will never happen.

Lexxi, hope you get something sorted with the house - sure it will work out for the best even though it won't feel like it now :) I've lost a couple of houses and it has always worked out better in the end. Hugs!

Love this thread - I work with a bunch of guys and ahve recently moved cities away from friends and family so have little oppotunity for girly wedding chat!

We got engaged a copuple of weeks ago, just before we moved into a new house so we have a lovely exciitng weekend getting engaged and telling everyone and haven't done much more preparation since! We're seeing two venues at the weekend so hopefully we will be able set a date soon. I've also seen a beautiful dress on ebay but am wondering whether it is too much of a risk incase it doesn't turn up or I can gt it altered - would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this!

if its a copy, made in china, be careful your not looking at the original designers picture because the chinese ones will not be as exquisite

Thanks Bubbles! It's a private seller with good feedback adn not from China, the dress is by Stephanie Allin - very plain but lovely! I'll let you know if I'm feeling brave and decide to go for it :)
