ummm I would be very tempted to tell virgin to go take a jump off a high cliff but I paid for everything with tesco deals so its not an option lol I will just stick to being the nurotic bride that keeps on phoning and threatening to write to sir rich himself :rotfl:
A mate on another forum got a fab deal on rings at the Jewellery Quarter she said it was soooo cheap compared to the high street and they have some lovely engagement rings. we got my engagement ring and the wedding rings from goldsmiths with deals.0 -
hello and good morning everyone

angel ah at least you havent paid cold hard cash a so thats sommat a?
how long did it take you to get enough deals?

ive got my heart set on getting a tiffany wedding ring
ive always wanted one, it wont be areally expensive one you can get them for under £200 and to think itll be used everyday(hopefully!) for years and years
itll be a good investment i think!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
no but I worked hard getting all those deals!! It didnt take long as I done most of the collecting back in the good old days. we got a bathroom suite when mfi pulled out of deals (was saving for a kitchen but didnt have enough) and noticed virgin weddings and before you know it we were saving for that. weve had other things like various meals out, airmiles etc so its hard to say.... its taken approx 2 years to pay for a 2 week holiday (for us 2 kids and my parents), wedding package and honeymoon in indonesia , .75c engagement ring, both wedding rings, a tag watch as a wedding pressie for OH and he has got me a diamond necklace and earings with deals.
mum and dad have offered to buy me a wedding dress, so thats one thing less to save for.....its just everything else like if we want extras at the wedding that isnt covered by the package, spending money, suits for the men, dresses for the girls ohhh and I have to save some money to hit the spa in indonesia, my hen night will be a day in the spa in paradise.....ahhhh I cant wait!!0 -
oh yes sorry didnt mean it like that, thought it might just be different in some way!
wow youve got alot, ill have to start saving mine-every little helps
and what with me having a Mr T a short walk away and working there ill hopefully roll in em lol
ive also started doing all the surveys again BORE, BUT as i said itll all help as will keeping all the loose change and banking it in the wedding fund
i wonder how much two years worth will be!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
I was aving up the tesco delas to get my wedding ring, until i spotted an exact same one somewhere else for a fraction of the price so i sold my vouchers on ebay for a really good price and bought the cheaper ring.
I now sell on all my tesco vouchers, to free up the cash to spend elsewhere. In fact the same guy always buys them, he must have a lot of jewellery.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I didnt take any offence at all.
I need to get my butt into gear with surveys, free bingo etc as ive been slacking off since christmas....it will all mount up and help the wedding /holiday fund.
its not so easy now to get lots of points but its still possible you just have to pick and choose when to go for it and when to hold back. If your interested in points there is a section on here but to be honest pts (paid to shop) is the best place to learn about points and you can pm me with any questions and I will try to help if I can.
princess - alot of people do this to although strictly speaking your not supposed to and mr t doest like it (but who cares about that lol) we had quite a good deal for my ring, we did find it cheaper elsewhere but there wasnt that much in it and I was quite suprised at the time.0 -
lol *must use smileys more*:o:D
talkin about selling them on, what he doesnt know wont hurt him and if thats the case ebay will have to stop you a?

5 weeks on saturday, eeek!
Almost everything done now. Maybe not as moneysaving as it could have been but haven't had to get a loan or go into debt and still in the black in my current acct with credit card paid off in full so not doing too bad!
I need to choose between two florists and I'm stuck. Booo!Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0 -
I am not having any flowers at my wedding, is that bad!!! My mum keeps giving me funny looks saying its not normal. ]
I tell her that she gave birth to me and she should know i have never been normal.
Im having a crystal bouquest my bridesmaids have little baskets, the button holes are crystal, and im not having flowers as centerpieces either. Im not really keen on flowers myself, i like the odd bunch from the kids and there pretty to look at, but there just not that important to me.
All our guests are travelling so if i did get flowers i couldnt give them away as they would struggle to take them home. It just makes sense to me to have something else.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I love flowers, but bold, bright tropical ones, not frothy country garden flowers. No roses in my bouquet!
But everyone's different and a crystal bouquet sounds really pretty. And what about those button bouquets? I love them! Very small though...Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0
