Just signed up to weddingspot, thanks bubbles! I've been fiddling with the to do list, which has made me look really organised because it says I've completed 26 tasks! Have I heck...
As for your wedding dress, the fact that you are comparing all other dresses to the first one you tried on suggests you've fallen for it big style!! Looking forward to a picture when you've made your decision (hint hint)

i think its really useful as it has a budget calculator, countdown, to do list, blog and table plan all on one website it also has loads more which wont be relevant to some but good for others
Hi bubbles, thanks for this suggestion - I have had a look and will sign up I think!
Planning a wedding in Scotland from Oz (where we're working at the moment) so it will prove helpful.
At this stage we have set a date, booked the registry office and have started ordering staionery and a few bits and bobs...We've picked where we'd LIKE to have the reception but are still negotiating with them!Seeking the champagne lifestyle on a cider budget!

oooo im this to booking a videographer, £700 for all day coverage including first dance with two camera operators!
ive been really fussy again like i was for the photographer, wanting someone reasonably priced but not cheap work!
so after trawling what seems like hundreds im just waiting for the booking form to come through the post and ill be done
what with that and my mum asking the chef where she works(naval base) to do the cake at cost price im going to be saving £100's!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
i feel really sick and scared!
i ordered my wedding ring off a US website and got it shipped to my american friend who will bring it with her when she comes over as they wouldnt allow expedited shipping, i have a confirmation email saying it should be delivered today or tomorrow, all fine but im sure the money went out of my account straight away and now it back in there?
it didnt say id paid them it just wasnt showing ie; balance of account:xxx available amount:xxx
which im sure was minus the amount of the ring
now im still not great with keeping on top of my outgoings, i always pay the bills on time but what i actually spend and when i dont keep track of, just check the balance think that looks about right and thats it
i knew this would bite me on the arriss sometime, me not being strict with my outgoings, i will bloody learn now and hope my ring is actually still getting delivered and theyr not banning me as im resident in the UK!:oI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
bubbles, don't panic! Just send them an email querying why the funds are back in your account when they have confirmed a delivery date for the ring. If the transaction went through in the first place then I'm not sure why they would suddenly have a problem. After all, if you checked your balance and the available balance wasn't a negative number then you know you had enough funds to cover it.
At the end of the day, you have the money back in your account and plenty of time to find another ring. Alternatively you could give your friend in the US the money and she could get it, if a) you trust herand b) the reason it didn't go through was because it was from a UK account (don't see why that would be a problem though).
Let us know how you get on!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012
